    Nice pics swimmy!

It was non-shitty today over in the front country. Great snow still to be found. Think I'm going back for round two tomorrow.

^^Yah nice to see you guys in the long tram line lol. My daughter and I managed three laps this afternoon despite the crowd, a win for me considering how little she is able to ski with me these days, we had fun. More bluebird chalk..

Your snow looks excellent, I should add.

Thinking about heading to BS Monday or Tuesday solo, so would shred around with any mags who want to share a lift.

X-ing fingers that at least 3" materializes by the AM.

+3 on the Harry report or by 8:00 at Lookout Ridge and I will take the drive.

Edit to add: Tuesday looks to be the better day though.

Weather is cranking in Bozeman, currently. Winds just came up about 30mph and the snow is starting. Numerous objects blowing away.

We stopped at Town Center today for a quick “hi, how are ya”, and it looked like a great day to be at the Really Big. Got to the ‘Ghee this evening...met by a dude at the door of Tees into so drunk that he couldn’t navigate the 3 steps...or understand what anyone was saying to him. Saw him later at the Trap. Still drinking. He’s gonna have a rough one tomorrow... love Wydaho...

Shortish tram line, so I did 3 off the top today. They had a steep skiing clinic in the Big C, but tagged onto ns...good first run of the trip :-). Up with sick kid now and skiing with wife Monday am.

Does the scanner at the tram not work well with beacon in transmit or just always flaky?

I ski with my beacon on and have zero problems. I keep my pass at rib stomach height in the little thing on my vest made for passes. I have dealt alot with RFID in the past in my old line of work. The quality of RFID cards/passes is wildly different from card to card. That's why some people breeze through (the gate will open for me when I am 3 feet away much of the time) while others struggle.

That gate is definitely flaky compared to the other lifts. At least half the people going through seem to have issues.

2012 SW Montana Conditions, Stoke and Whatev Thread

On behalf of Gallatin County SAR, I wanted to extend the invitation to any locals who may be interested in supporting the organization to become a member of the “Friends of Gallatin County Search and Rescue.”

The nonprofit group will help with community outreach and raise extra money for SAR, along with allowing volunteers with special skills to help out if needed.

For example, if you want to help out with SAR and have skills like mechanic abilities, food preparation, graphic design, media experience, etc. the group is happy to have you.

PM me with some questions, as the group meets tomorrow night at 6 pm at the County Search and Rescue base.

    That sounds very worthwhile.

I hope some other members here were also able to enjoy the BB goodness this morning. It was a very nice surprise. I actually took some video but my phone is hopelessly constipated since it updated about a week ago. Time for a factory reset on this bitch.

The #presday blackout has been lifted! Heading down tomorrow (Tues) and hopefully Friday for some turns. Got down to Targhee 2 weekends ago for an epic weekend. Hoping the snowfall stays consistent through March!!

Which one of you left their camper on a pullout on 191 close to Karst? Thing has been there a few months now and love how the plows just plow up to it.

Maybe we could relocate it to a ski lot for tailgating season in a few weeks

The word I heard is that camper is supposed to get relocated to replace the "Styles" shack that burned last Summer. Having the camper stashed near a parking lot would provide overflow quarters for visiting mags and for tailgating is a great use of the resource. I will work on expediting the permitting review with Harry's office .

It’s currently bluebird up here at the Big, and I’d wager that Bridger picked up a lot more snow. However, the hour tram wait was very worthwhile, as I skied excellent snow in the Gullies for the first time. Holeee Sheet!
