Another day in paradise! Went Dogleg to the Wave and then I ended up multi-sporting because I skied too low out of Bradley's. Visited some of my favorite disc golf holes while I was out there. Hadn't been out there since Bohart sold. Damn, I miss that place.

This thread has gotten more play since they shut everything down.

Love it although somewhat bittersweet. Stay safe.

Skied wolverine this morning. It was hit quite a bit yesterday. Lots of tracks and getting heavy. Possible saw one of you on the skin track further out.

This had a nice line in it this morning.

Got out the past few days in the Bridgers and Madisons.

I don't often carry the camera, but the stoke meter is rising here on the TGR interwebz!

Looks like some high quality boot packing and rad skiing! I like it when the boot goes straight up no matter the effort. The zig zagging to try to find "shallower snow" is a total waste of time and ruins the aesthetic of the line.

Superior, looks like a nice day down there. The kayla pow shot is my favorite.

We went up for the flmr sunrise the other day just to get milked out. Hung around and skied some sweet shit. Then the wind started cranking, and by the time the sun really started breaking through it was time to call it. Gotta remember that it's still March, not may and the sun wont do too much damage if you're skiing at 8/9 vs 715- on some days. Nice being up early anyway I guess....

Snow still great on northerly aspects and shaded trees. Did some easy tree laps and stopped to admire more spicy lines. Some beasts out there.

I did a super mellow little tour up at BB this morning. Definitely far fewer folks relative to the last few times I have made it up. Overwhelmingly, people were doing a good job of staying a safe distance apart.

^^ While I must say, this mystery skier appears to have skied this perfectly, it seems a little aggro for my taste given all the circumstances right now. Maybe this is their equivalent of a blue square? Have fun and be safe everybody!

I went out to Homestake/Pipestone today to primarily gather firewood. The moto off-road tribe definitely hasnít been forwarded the memo on social this and that and trying to not tax the health industry. Nice to step out of the woke bubble for a few hours.

We saw literally hundreds of people riding around like it was Memorial Day weekend. Huge groups of kids riding together.

Also, I like how the Avalanche Guys are posting obs from people who donít live here anymore but decided they needed to visit for the skiing.

Seem to be reading a lot about people fleeing to more remote areas in an attempt to escape disease. Sun Valley apparently has a ton of COVID cases because all the wealthy out of towners fled to their second homes there and brought the virus with them. Sure there's got to be some of that going on here as well.

FWIW, the traffic at BB slowed down A LOT with the shelter in place order... The upper 3 lots have been nearly-full the last few weekends but were pretty empty yesterday.

What better time to visit? No crowds! But seriously, the mentality of "the rules don't apply to me" is frustrating to see.

As far as imported cases, I'd bet a dollar that Gallatin County is in a similar situation but the ratio of imported vs. local is likely a lot lower than Blaine County. For reference, Blaine has a population of ~22k and Gallatin is ~108k. Doesn't make it any more or less okay, but the impact of plague rat visitors will probably be significantly less pronounced here.

We already have a stay at home order in place. The governor should also shut down travel into the state unless it is deemed essential.

That's probably not palatable to a lot of people but you're right, although I don't know how they'd enforce that with regard to those who are able to take a private jet into BZN, Ennis, et cetera.

Shutting down the interstate would cut off a lot of other states as well.

My gut says our area is going to get hit harder by this later in the year. Once they major spikes occur and lockdowns get lifted, tourism will pick back up then we're going to have an issue with more imported cases.
