Haha yeah...well at least we had today. Restores my faith in the place, even though we know the real crowds are yet to come. Good to have days like this.
Also had a great time skiing with Harry and his gal this morning. Really fun runs on the fresh groomed stuff, plus a visit to the medi shack.

Good seeing Swiftybish keeping El Ocho humming for the racers and I hope she enjoys the venison. Found the LEM has sticker graffiti now, is this taunt for the Speed Control Patrol?

Definitely a windy crazy day up there. Goods were found. Lots of wind hold too. Did one final tram lap when it re-opened maybe at 145. Rode up with 4 people in the bucket total lol. Mega vertigo, but getting really good in spots. Tomorrow is gonna be really tough for patrol. Windy and snowing hard.

Awesome day. Wind did some work yesterday/last night. Got lucky and pulled up to gullies this AM for rope drop. So good. Then went and did 3 hikes. 3 forks > first into Whitetail (sporty at the top, but bottom 3/4 were super nice). Then Rock Creek 2x. My legs said no, but the face shots said yes. Very very nice.

Buddy of mine got into a ski accident this past weekend at Bridger, and wound up dislocating his hip on-slope.
X-ray photo (you can see the dislocated femur):
He described the following 2 hours as the worst pain of his life, and nearly had to be heli-lifted to the Bozeman hospital. Even worse, he had an allergic reaction to the ketamine when they popped it back into place (that was previously not known). So at one point he stopped breathing and had to be dealt with in short-order.
He's fine now, but his season is done. "The skiing was still great though" according to him.
Stay safe out there folks.
