Thanks Talisman. It’s been fun exploring my new home waters. So much more to explore.
Lol. It definitely made it difficult Harry. Did you get a chance to use it back in WI yet?

For real. It's almost overwhelming. So many awesome little alpine lakes to check out that go rarely fished, so the fish are plentiful and pretty big in some places from what I hear. One totally worth checking out is Ramshorn Lake. Due west maybe 1/4 mile from Ramshorn Peak. Takes some time to hike all the way back there but worth the effort. I did a ton of exploring in that whole region when I lived across the street from the Gallatin but never did get to nearly enough. It's unreal how much wilderness there is to explore there. Enjoy!!!

I grew up in Chicago fishing the Driftless area in WI, you could spend a lifetime exploring the miles and miles of spring creeks...adding up all the lakes and streams here....forget about it...but I will give it a go.
Thanks for the tip on the lake. It just went on the “must hit” list for this season.
If anyone lurking ever needs a tag along to check out a new zone, hit me up.

I will hike to Ramshorn Lake with you. Long hike, but easy. Trailhead is at the 320 Ranch. Talisman just bought a new fly rod (he paid retail, no maggot deal like I got from Sledski...) so he can tag along too.
Edit: alternative route is up Porcupine Creek by Austin's old house, but I think that route is a lot longer.Last edited by Harry; 07-04-2019 at 06:45 AM.

You got the red one! It must cast further.
Sounds like a great day. I am fairly flexible except for a yearly musky fishing trip to Canada from July 11-21.
Looking forward to it.

Last time I went to Spanish lakes there was a chick with huge tits nude sunbathing on a rock. It was fantastic. Also reminds me I need to get my mtb up ramshorn.

Delicately presented next to a likely holding spot such as a backpack near a rock I presume?

To keep it sporting I don't "chum" for the locally revered yellow bellied marmot, though when it is slow I get tempted to put a sweaty pack next to a rock pile but resist. I thought Marmots weren't leader shy, but flourocarbon leaders have really improved the strike percentage.

Somebody really needs to crack down on that derelict crew from the post office stickering the town.
