Turns out the nice people who appropriate the Resort Tax at Big Sky read this forum and I got a $75,000 grant for a horseshoe coach, gym equipment, horseshoe pits, red horseshoes and special throwing glove! With the Big Sky resort tax being expanded to alcohol and tobacco sales there will be surplus funds to help people with problems they didn't know they had.

Speaking of the Resort Tax, I had dinner this evening with one of the Board members. Interesting conversation.

Negative, it’s a guy named Victor Noir. The French are wild.

I think ol’ Chief Mojo Risin’s grave is a little more subdued.

2012 SW Montana Conditions, Stoke and Whatev Thread

Enduro MTB race at the Really Big Resort this weekend. Cool looking at the factory team mechanic vans. Mostly Sprinters. Nicest was the Yeti Cycles van. Mechanics all in matching uniforms.

Whiteroom Guardian: are you competing or did you throw in the towel ?

Edit: vibes to the construction worker who fell off a ladder at the mountain mall this morning. Poor guy looked f-d up while they were loading him in the ambulance. Hope he is ok.

Yeah, they're both in Pere Lachaise Cemetery, I confused them.

Eh, dead guys in Pere Lachaise... I think you're forgiven for confusing 'em, especially since the circumstances of Victor's grave would be perfectly fitting for Jim.

Speaking of fishing, got out on the East Gallatin this evening and got what must be the world's dumbest brownie. I'm making that assumption because it let me catch it, but that's beside the point. I'm glad that our daily Florida Weather™ passed through earlier today - made for a nice evening out.

I raced both MES and the BME races. Two back to back weekends of rock smashing at the really Big. BME was a shit show with a crash/mechanical on day one and a flat on day 2. Was all worth it for the metric ton of fun that I had. It's this time of year that I kinda don't want ski season to come at all. Until it does and then I won't want it to end.
