I am planning to make it down to BS on Thursday, but can't leave Bozeman before about 9:30 am. I also have a free ticket for BB that is reserved for Djongo, but if he won't make it up to Bozeman for those days (let me know DJ), any other mag who wants a day at BB before closing, send me a PM.

Hmmm, looks like Aspen/Snowmass equivalent of a BS Gold Pass does include an Ikon Base Pass for 19/20 with NO increase in early bird pricing. Our Gold goes up like $300 and we get a bunch of crap benefits. Just pour more gas on the fire!

JHMR is now also including a base level IKON pass with purchase of the Grand Pass.
I do NOT expect Big Sky to follow suit.

I know I'm not a local, but Big Sky is really screwing you over. Thats a shitty way to treat the folks that truly support the resort. Sorry, guys.

2012 SW Montana Conditions, Stoke and Whatev Thread
Smoke shack tour on Tuesday was a blast, although very challenging conditions. Boilerplate ice in many spots. I don't remember how many shacks we visited, but a relaxing way to spend time on the mountain.
Participants:
Harry
Djongo
Talisman
MiCol
One of the more interesting shacks was the Styled Shack off Mr, K. Two stories, so we mags occupied the first floor (with 2 sofa's) while a younger crowd upstairs partied liked it was 1999.
Photo by MiCol: Shawn's Shack (off Ambush Glades). Beautiful view from here. This shack even has a gas grill.
Finished the day with a burger and a beer at Scissorbills.
My phone died early on, so i don't have many photos.Last edited by Harry; 04-03-2019 at 08:19 AM.

A few pix: Djongo inspecting modern construction techniques and stickers from an earlier Blue Room visit. The black "I skied with Harry" shirt was a wonderful surprise.

Met nest and Djongo about 11 and headed to the peak. Spent a pleasant 45 minutes hanging out waiting for our Snowfield slot. Decent conditions, fun run. Knee tweakage led DJ to call it for the day, bummer dude hope you are okay. Nest and I then hiked Headwaters to ski Class 6 after I made him promise I wouldn't die. Great snow in there though, a few inches on chalk and we were the first ones down it. Nest then headed into the backcountry and I did a couple meh tram laps. Thus endeth the gnar tour. It was a fun day and many thanks to nest for showing me Class 6. DJ looking forward to skiing you next time.
Pics: Nest and Djongo turning their backs when I said I was taking a photo (no respect!); Djongo on the direct snowfield finish; Moonlight shack stop after the run. New shack for me!

Knee hurts but no probs, life goes on. Plan on skiing with all you nuts again next season.
Hut tour was most excellent and gnar tour was gnarly. Sweet skiing my brothers!!!
Disappointed to leave early but was right move...

Today the corn harvest started early today with the rain/snow staying above freezing overnight and early sun. Not many people we out, so a laid back day. Most lifts were ski on and the tram was a one car wait and ski to the stairs.
