It seems like the decision was made after the lifts started turning. I heard that with the bus not running a large portion of staff didn’t make it in. Bridger reverts back to national forest after the last sweep today. They may prevent uphill tomorrow but it should be on from Tuesday forward.

That will work. Be as crowded as ever, open or closed. plenty of elbow room so Social Distance.

BRIDGER BOWL CLOSING AT NOON TODAY

Due to COVID-19 rapidly evolving, Bridger Bowl will close for the season beginning today March 15, 2020 at NOON. There is no uphill traffic until sunrise March 16. Thanks for another great season!

Managed to sneak in a few ridge laps before they shut down. Mid to upper elevation north faces are skiing exceptionally well right now.

First time I have had my phone out since I posted that.

I saw your buddy Tay-Tay at 8am this morning and he told me. I think they posted it on the website right after that.

I am awaiting the word on how they will make this up to their loyal season pass holders.

2012 SW Montana Conditions, Stoke and Whatev Thread

Just had a fantastic tour up Bridger with Mr. and Mrs. Nest after grabbing the last lift of the day.

Hit Wolverine and Dog Leg couloir in some excellent inversion temps.

I’m actually feeling pretty positive that we can still ski tour during these times. Anybody who wants a partner can PM me in the next few weeks.

Word on the street is that it’s basically a PR move to close Bridger. I’m sure it’s the responsible decision for the weeks ahead, but it sucks today. Fuck em! Let’s walk

Pretty tough light at times but overall super fun "last" day. Still can't believe lift season is over.

Hey since all Y'all who run AirBNBs and rentals are getting fucked... I'm looking to potentially rent a place in Big Sky for just like a Month. I have a big job up in Spanish Peaks, and I need to get it done soon...

It would just be me staying there, I don't smoke, drink, etc. I am boring as fuck. I'll just be crashing so I don't spend 2.5 hours a day driving up from Bozeman.

I'd prefer a pre-furnished AirBnB style thing, but if it's a private bedroom/bath, that's ok too. PM me if you've got a place, or know someone who does. Please shoot me a PM, or text: 360-three two zero-1378

    Nice pics, swimmy.

I had a solid weekend. Enjoyed the short tram line yesterday and today made laps with my 7 year old, who is really starting to get it. That was fun. Closed out the day in 6th class and it was legitimately one the best runs of the year.

    So bummed its over.

Time to get out the bikes.

    Good on them, that's a stand-up move.

Bummed I missed the last day of lifts spinning but the inbounds touring is going to be great. Cured meats and cheeses, anyone?

Weird but super fun last day at the big. 9-1030ish = place was nearly empty. Around 1030-11 was when everyone and their mom showed up after getting the word it was done for the season. Went to sleep last night about 85% sure today was gonna be it.

Rumors floating around at 345 in the last lift line: "Two people in Huntley tested positive and now they are going to quarantine everyone."

"A club member knowingly had it and came to YC to 'hide' and infected four YC employees"

Sucks about the soft-served. Bridger BC is going to go off.

Excellent week in the other ranges backcountry. Last night’s/This Morning’s 12”+ of coldsmoke-ish on top of 18” of cream this week on the now near-bomber base. Yeah!!!

A beauty day with the lady and 2.5 yr old.
