I will probably be making at least one more pilgrimage to that particular watercourse, most likely a Wed. or a Friday. It is big enough for 2.

Showing the kids the old man hasn't forsaken his Minnesota roots. Even if I have to pay dearly for it later.

I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

Wait! What? The 4wd lot is going away?
So those reserved Gold Pass spots just got even more coveted.
Well got to put those H1b employees somewhere I suppose. All the better to try and get back as much from them as possible.I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

Don't mean to ruin this thread but this article in High Country News is about skiing here in SW Montana. Apologies if people don't like this here.

There's a good chance I'll be attending the wilderness medicine conference at Big Sky in late February. Looking any recs for lodging/logistics etc yadda yadda. Maybe doing it with some coworkers but possibly just me.

Usually those conferences have room and ticket deals with the resort. The Shoshone is nicer than the Huntley and both are within stumbling distance of the main base area. If you are going rogue there are many condo options but be aware some "slope side" units are on very flat trails requiring multiple lift rides to get to a base area.
Let me know when you lock in dates and I will provide a tour (there are others that are more qualified).

Everything at Big Sky is within walking distance; always a quarter mile. One of them geographical oddities...
I almost commented on the twins' names. Fictional dorks.

The GF and I rented a Wandervan for a couple weeks, picking it up in Boise this Saturday. Will be cruising through SW Montana at some point with MTB's in tow.
Looking for any and all useful beta from good spots to #vanlife park overnight, food/bev to must do bike rides. When you have company where do you take them?
TIA
