Not that this affects anyone, but if you’re on 90 W. outside of Bozeman there is a jackknifed 18 wheeler that is completely blocking both lanes you will not get through it looks like it’s gonna be a long time

I can see the phone call now. "Sorry, honey. Every way out of here is all blocked up. Gonna have to head back to Big Sky for a couple more days to wait it out."

Passed that on my way to Livingston this am at around 9:15, it had just happened and looked ugly. 1 lane was open. I took Jackson Creek to Bridger Canyon on the way home.

Friday/Saturday I was in Anaconda and Butte for a wedding. I snooped around and found a mellow ascent/descent of Sugarloaf Peak off Mill Creek/569

Mellow for the most part and good snow

My absolute favorite part of Big Sky other than the obvious Lone Peak was the trees. Seemed like between every run there were acres of untouched pow.

I found myself literally saying “this is ridiculous” between hoots and hollars.

Damn. Thinking dust with wind in the 20s-30s last night does not bode well for getting the little open today or tomorrow. Did look like it only needed a small refill a few days ago.

I was up top last April and a patrol seemed to imply I could sign up, but I didn't push it because I chickened out not having my whippit. Although they might think I'm a total kook showing up with a whippit? Seemed like snowboarders only got after late last April.

I have stood at the top on at least 3 occasions and said to myself, yeah, not worth it but thanks anyway.

Just finished up at Bridger. Had a nice nooner start and skied some cold north facing snow on the lifts, nice and chalky in places.

Rest of the mountain was solar and a mix of 4” of greasy pow on top of some gnarly ice.

Has a great run on Trolley Chute off Slushman’s, followed by a gnarly descent of the Z Chute. Powder bottoming out onto grease ice is wild!! Grice.

    Should have showed up early.

Indeed. In hindsight I was really glad they closed it on us last year. I guess we were like the 4th or 5th group on the list. After the previous groups ran a train on it it was just beat to shit. Would have been "skiing' mostly bare rocks for top 50+ feet.

I'm a crackhead though. I lay in bed thinking about this shit late at night.

This advice solves issues and creates issues, but in general the world would be better if people got laid more often.

Oddly enough I am getting laid. But wouldn't throw the word GF around. How about "chick you ski with and have sex with"? Sounds kinda better than it really is. Gotta take what you can get in Mantana I suppose.
