The snow that fell is very low moisture content and as Harry stated no wind. Echoes from control charges have started. I will be in my powder reserve for at least the first hour until terrain opens on Challenger, Sheddy, Dakota etc.

BS snowstake looks nice, wish I could be there. Have fun, and don't forget to stop and take some pics.

Word is that a patrol bomb put a huge crack across Liberty Bowl, but nothing slid.

Great day to be on the slopes at Big Sky with 6 to 8 inches of fresh snow, decent base, little wind and not many people. Spotted Bunion at Thunderwolf and he thought there was more snow on Andesite than Challenger. The less popular trees on Andesite had fresh lines into mid afternoon. I saw no lift lines to speak of but was only lapped the main base area a few times.

I too saw Bunion on Andesite. Was definitely the place to be. Lapped Andesite trees most of the morning and went over to HW for a hike around noon. Hellroaring was fun, but not as good as Andesite.

Agree with the others, Andesite definitely had the deepest stashes today.

Talisman, sorry I missed you. After I texted we kind of were all over the place.

Pretty, pretty good meadow skipping today. Great views of some terrain that would be fun to get into with a partner who isn't a dog, too. Does it count as a shack tour if only one is visited, though?

Guess my wife has been sensing the stoke and wants to get out today for a few turns. She loves cruisin' groomers on her snowboard so think I'm going skinny.

I didn't realize you had multiple wives.

In other news 3/8 of new snow fell at 6800 feet, calm wind and 19*F.

Looks pretty breezy again. Chances of Shed/Dak seem slim if there is more loading up high.

Southerly wind, so maybe Headwaters got some spindrift?

Well darn, wife bailed as she said it might be a bit windy for her. I've learned not to argue.

Not the end of the world as I've hit is pretty hard this week, my legs are cooked, and looks like tomorrow could be better anyway as avy forecast is calling for 6-10" more tonight.

I am on the same plan. Sunday IS a day of rest and some office work.
I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

Today was probably a good rest day if you can ski tomorrow Dakota held the goods, but not as good as yesterday on Andesite. Snowed most of the day back there. If tonight pans out tomorrow will be really good. Enjoy it you non weekend-warriors!

Fun surprise storm skiing at GD this morning, dumped for several hours. Many fresh lines to be had. And world famous cheese fries of course... #don'tbelievethehype

Even after a legit rest day yesterday I'm still feeling like

But you gotta get it while you can so still considering making the drive down.

Who else is getting out today?
