Vibes, Superior. That looks even worse than it was this morning. I looked out the office window around 4:30 or 5 and saw that light at the top of the Bridgers and felt really bad for anyone who was out there in that.

^^^ no joke. Got back from Seattle last night was going to change oil first thing this morning ... think I'm gonna wait:
On the drive over it looked like from about butte to about Livingston got the bulk of whatever storm had come through. Just a couple inches on the grass in Red Lodge

Hopefully this doesn't turn into the standard el nino early snow and then high and dry pattern of late...
Looks great now though!
Rad that disco's opening, that's probably the new promised land anyhow

what is the story with great divide (from a bozemanite with little central MT experience)? Seems like lift served there with L&C after could be a decent cure for the November blues?

Sure. They are only going to have one run open. Sounds like they are opening just after daylight Saturday morning to beat Disco lol. Snow is in the forecast for tonight.
Come ski with us tomorrow November 10! Last year was our earliest opening ever on November 11th.
Always got to try to do better right? So, how about you come ski with us at Great Divide tomorrow November 10th!
We had a pretty good snowfall earlier in the week.
Then put a few days of cold temperatures together with our powerful snowmaking system and very quickly, we’ve got a ski trail!
The Good Luck to Broadway trail is about 3,000 feet long, 100 feet wide, with 615 feet of vertical.
We’ll have a PocketPark with half-dozen fun boxes and rails alongside the trail too.
The Good Luck Lift will operate Saturday, November 10th from just after daylight (Isn’t a little friendly competition cool?) closing at 4 pm.
Sunday, November 11th 10am-4pm.
Lift tickets are $30 for the full day. Or Just $10 per hour anytime.
You can also get your E-TIX online for just $20 if purchased by 8 am on the day of arrival. www.skigd.com/etix

To add to what Yeahman says, I lived in Helena for a while and rarely found it worth the drive to ski at Great Divide. Most of the time it definitely isn't worth the drive from Bozeman. That said, if you are jonesing to get on skis and want to ride lifts, why not give it a try? Blackfoot River Brewing in Helena has great beer, too,so it wouldn't be a complete waste of a day if skiing sucks.
