Yes I am serious about a one (1) car tram today. With wind building to 40 MPH gusts later I doubt the tram will be loading long. If I get by the tram house later I will take a picture of the crowd or damaged car.

I thought the tram partially worked on counterweight/balance from the other car?

It does, most likely is they will run it with one cabin remaining empty. So instead of a 3.5 minute per cabin lap it will be a 10 minute lap.

I think I will skip today and go mountain biking in the unseasonable warmth and gamble that the mega storm predicted plays out. The computer model does not impress.

I know someone was asking before re: overnight parking. I think the new lot on Turkey Leg seems to be the place. Lots of RVs in there yesterday and at least one with some snow on it and stabilizers down like they have been there for a few days. It seems to be a good replacement for the 4WD lot. Out of sight from the hotels, dirtbag feel, easy walk to the base so no need to gaper train and then you can ski back right down White Wing through Gold lot.

My wife actually bought me this flat brim hat a few years ago as a gift. I said "thanks honey," then put it on the shelf and it's been there ever since.

    You favor hats with earflaps?

Tram? Thunderwolf was shut down because of wind ~3:00 PM and those on that side of Andesite got to ride out on the Lone Moose chair.

Heard tram loaded like 4 or 5 buckets total today.

Place was kind of a shit show. Swifty was on wind hold most of the day. Exploder had a line like 100+ deep! Even Ramcharger was like a 10 minute wait around 1:30. Turns were still had and rays were soaked.

Pretty funny coming from an old coot like you.

I am more of a classic BB-hat kinda guy. But that's just an opinion.

@ WRG, I would imagine that all the snow available for transport has transported.

I packed it in after a few Challenger laps and other stuff at 11:00 AM and there was still untracked to be had in places. Later I went snowshoeing (not up the skin track) on some old logging roads near where I live. The snowshoeing was wonderful: long views, soft snow, sunshine, a little breeze, babbling creek, lots of animal tracks and no lift lines.

If you and Sheldon make it to BZN and don’t stay at the Really Big, he can party all day with my newfie.

Also getting snow here in town and pretty stoked about getting to use my snowblower this afternoon. Finally

Driving into Bozeman tonight and skiing (likely Big Sky) tomorrow, if any of you want to meet up for some turns.
