Boyne did announce where the Gold Pass parking will be.
200 spots in rows A-E or there about. 1st come 1st serve with a lot attendant. I doubt I will ever use it as I generally come in on Sitting Bull and grab a spot near the 4x4 lot.

Whatever.
Painful day down there today, it was damn warm and wet. I called a friend around noon and caught him on route looking at the Gullies. "Everything up high is closed" He sounded excited and said "Big Shit is ripping out."
I wished him well and to be safe.
I was nearly up to my knees in mud today and the Gallatin looked like shit tonight. Liquid baby shit.

It actually skied pretty damn good today if your timing was right. Bowl was good for a couple and then caught a gullies before they went liberty only. Line got short and it was a good liberty but brutal middle road. Tomorrow gonna be real interesting

Looks like a wet dump followed by a little rain. I don't know if BB had as many warm sunny days as Snowbowl did in March, but it's just hard to imagine this being much of a stress for main skied runs/infrastructure this late in the season(obviously all the steep stuff would be prone to pin balling & sluffing). Maybe I just underestimate how cold it stays over there.
In PNW this would be called "good for the base".

Bridger has a history with large in bounds slides in certain spring conditions. I am grateful for the patrol's caution, experience, and judgement. I don't really see anything to be gained by second guessing them on the internet.

^^Yah that's some sobering shit right there. Damn.
Piling up on the BS snow stake, but I wonder what terrain they will be able to open.... I think I am going to hold off till this weekend and next week. Hoping the temps drop as predicted.

Full-on blizzard at RLM. Coming down hard. Drifts to foot deep already. Lift rides blow (literally) but snow is just fine.

Currently stuck on highway 20 just outside island park. Wreck? Windy as hell but no snow. Just spent two glorious days in Moab. Doesn't look like the skiing is all that great. I'm ready for more sun after a nice taste the last two days.

What's the base like up there - is it frozen and locked up under the new snow? Or still a winter pack on north faces?

2012 SW Montana Conditions, Stoke and Whatev Thread
Deep pow on the south face all day long. Guess you don’t know where to go yet. Mostly locals in the tram line. Have chatted with some rad April pass JH skiers the last couple days.
I hear Leadville has shorter lines.

Keep the updates coming. I might bring the lanyard to the tram on my way home from the Canadian Rockies.
