One thing you will learn living in the Really Big is how badly the computer models are at in being able to forecast storms.

Still, fingers XXX-ed. We need the wet.

^^Seriously. I left Helena at 5 a.m. this morning to go elk hunting and it was 70 degrees. I was having a hard time believing in this predicted storm, but I sure hope it shows up.

Does this wedding setup stay there all summer at Bridger or is it in place for a wedding this weekend?

23" @ great divide a bit unreal. I think some of this might stick around as the base at higher elevations, tomorrow is the only warm day in the forecast before snow levels drop down to 5 or 6k' again

Apparently they were getting after it at GD with 27 inches on top as the final tally.

The 10 day forecast looks insane. Looks cooler and wetter than most January/Februarys around here. Looks more like Slaypril than September.

I am wondering if we'll have something as deep as Great Divide but consolidated by next weekend, would be really fun to get some September freshies.

edit: looks like not a single snotel is over a foot after the snow settled.

Thanks for posting that photo, that's the view I am missing right now. I'll be back very shortly. Screw the sand, I wanna see white, even if I can't ski on it yet.

I got an email that big Sky is extending season by 1 week. Montana pass now has 2 weeks of free skiing. Seems odd, given how few are there 2ND week in April, but I'm not complaining.

Does bridger bowl have the lightest powder on earth? I have heard that rumor, and I saw it again today on an unofficial network post.
