Can anyone recommend somewhere in bozeman to get a tune? My skis have multiple core shots and could use some professional repair I just moved out here and getting stoked for winter. Also hoping to skin around bridger tomorrow maybe. bring on the snow!

Headed to BZN tonight. Is it worth taking the skis to make a short run up at Bridger?

It's certainly possible to skim much of the stuff up there, if you're careful. There's a solid and dense bottom layer on many of the cut runs. It looks decent otherwise.

I'm aiming for a quick morning tour tomorrow to check things out and another probably south of Big Sky on Sunday.

Just got back from poking around pierre's today. 1-2' of snow, a hoard of people, and some fun early season skiing. People had been on most everything from bottom to top, so it's filling in!

In Oct I got out in the hyalite area:

Found a little meadow we lapped ~10 times:

It ain't much, but I hope you all like the crappy cell phone pics!

Snowbowl has a flake or two on the ground, looking like it should stay...i'm thinking with the amount of rain we've had this year, that this should carry over to an epic pow winter.

I'm pretty new to backcountry skiing and others in this thread could give some better perspective, but my impression is that once people can ski bb, they do. Also, long weekend (which totally matters on a saturday )

Been wandering around up at the Fairy Lake Mountain Resort a bit... Good thing you don't have to get up too early to beat the "kids" up there... Got to ski with mag Z and wife A, 100% solid folks to get out and rip with. Nest has been out shreddin hard every chance he gets...Even got to sneak a day in with ol' Papa Pnut. Stoked to be out feelin half decent after a month of uhh, "down time". Might even be able to almost keep up with hick or Jupski or that bushy haired telemarker from Missouri again one day soon! Haven't been takin many pics for a while but I figured the thread could use a little more window dressing.
