Thanks. I am probably the worst patient to have.

What VtSkibum said. I had a bad concuss two years ago, from skiing. You don't want to take any chances. Self-monitor, maybe go in and be seen, have someone check in on you, watch for symptoms, etc.
    Hope you're better!

Thanks x2. The good thing about ski patrolling is you meet a lot of ER Docs. I went into Big Sky E/R after the fact and talked with one of them.

Part of today's decision (big part) was his counseling of, "see how you feel tomorrow, if you don't feel 100%...."

    I don't.

Oh and for those that do go to BB today. The Poma is fucked and the patrol is hiking to do A/C. They went in an hour earlier than the usual early time of 7:00 and will be beat.

    Show them some love.

Make some lefts and rights for me boys and girls.

Avalanche report says B.B. got 30". This will be fun whenever they get stuff open.

Bunion, I got a mild concussion a couple weeks ago on a stupid slow motion fall at BB and didn't feel right for 10 days. It sucked to stay home but I'm glad I did. Gotta take care of the brain. Sorry you'll miss the new snow but it's worth it to rest.

2012 SW Montana Conditions, Stoke and Whatev Thread

Bridger today (it was deep on the kids). Sign at the top of Sunnyside said new snow at top of Bridger was 39", 4.6 or so of SWE.

Skied Ellis in 14-18" of new this morning, and nobody else had headed up when I got back to the car. Shitty morning, for sure.

Legit 3 ft powder day. Props to patrol for working their ass off and getting shit open with no poma. Some impressive debris piles out there. I think bombs were going off until 130ish.

Harry you are so fine, man...thank you so much. Sadly, after a fun season at home, I presently find myself in Florida at my Father's house preparing to install a new central A/C system tomorrow for about 5K. Fucking 80 degrees in the house.
Like I said, 'dying over here!' So far away from all that beautiful snow, Shize!

BUT, I know you soldiers got busy today, so there's MY consolation. I'm happy knowing my friends are in the Blowerzone. From here, it would appear to have dumped from SLC to Boze and all in between.

Kiss them for me (the furbuddies, not our friends.)
My cat, Vinegar, just jumped on my lap, looked at your message and said " hey, what the fuck, Holmes? " - 16 year old Sourpuss. I love her...

I would like very much to visit this summer though, so hold that thought!
Not sure I ever mentioned this but you as well are welcome to stay in JH anytime, and I would look forward to it. The summer drive from your place to mine is largely unequalled in this country. They say there's fish in them there cricks, and I need to wet a line witcha before skifishbum! It's a challenge and all...

Edit: Nest, Aenigma, WRG, LB and WMD - HO-LEE SHITE 20-40" roughly, of about 5% SWE . The world waits for a day like that. So many people on the planet wanted to be in yer boots today.

^^^^^^Hey now, my friend the puppetmaster! the G-man. Especially look forward to rolling witchu again...

Christ, G, a ski-off's the only chance I gots. A fish off and I'm a dead man walking...
Then I gotta beat the guy who rolls on the burliest boards with them janky looking binders while he carries that big ass pack. All the while bringing it.

SFB can put that hammer down and I mean the sledge, not the framer.

Yeah, yesterday was definitely a day to just roll with the punches while getting the runaround all morning. Seemed like every decision I made re lift openings was the wrong one and I was doing my best not to get frustrated! When I finally got to the summit at 1:30 it was a pretty epic ski down. Might have been my last run of the season at Big Sky, and I'm happy with the memory of those awesome turns.

Long time Big Sky skiers who I communicated with kept using the same word.

    Shitshow.

Way too small a maze at the bottom of lifts that normally don't need much of a maze at all. People spilling out in all directions with no order and some shoving, aggro attitudes and almost punches. While I am sure it was good I am not sorry to have missed that.
