Heads up you magnificent maggots; hutash, LBSkier, and hoarhey are headed to Bozeman this coming weekend. I’d make it a foursome, but I head to Frisco, TX to watch my Bobcats in the FCS National Championship. I’m loading them up with beta. So… if you see them around, be nice and ask for change. Or maybe spin some laps with them.

Nice! I'll be anxious to see what happens to the line if/when we get snow and get more open off the top.

That's two of us. BS has even had "advertisements" for the tram for "only $30 a day" on the Swifty and Ram big screens.

I'm probably being naïve but I can't help but think the new policy will make a difference. And if it does, I'll be the first to give Boyne a shout out.

Will we be able to identify hutash by the long line of well-cared-for animals following him?

Hmmm, perhaps their Draconian policy has backfired a bit.

Today my 15 yo daughter got introduced to compound fractures when her friend flew off a cattrack at GD out near the Big Open and smashed into a tree. Pulled off his glove and his finger bone was protruding from the skin. My kid held it together enough to look up the mountain phone number and call it in. Ski patrol showed up in five or ten minutes and took over. She called me to come pick her up. It made quite an impression on her, to say the least.

Oof. Good on your kid for keeping a cool head.

If any helena mags are riding GD on friday, a couple of buddies band is playing. Good ol hillbilly music. I might pop over for some turns/music.

Yes! Though with visibility being what it is, I was bombing down Toni Matt only to realize I had wound up on Ptarmigan.Bowl - totally missed the sign.

PSA - I'm locked up for the next four days with work and a teenager getting his wisdom teeth yanked so it should be good this week.

Ah bummer. I thought about volunteering up there. If I could do medical only, and not all the other ski patrol duties, but unlikely.

There aren’t a ton of non-medical duties other than opening and closing the mountain and dealing with peoples drama. It’s tiring.

On another note, I tried to find some backcountry around Helena with okay success. Yesterday was awesome weather.

So... unrelated to skiing (I know, I know)...

Anybody have auto mechanic recommendations for furrin cars? Specifically a Mazda CX-5. Has weird issue that the kid is dealing with.
