Steady light rain all day down south. I was leaving the Y/C at 2:45 and at 8800' there were some mixed forms in with the rain.
I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

^^^ No doubt. Back down in th really big today and there wasn't a whole lot of new snow below 9K but it looked pretty white above that mark.

Deep Creek ski area. Was open when I was a kid. Must have closed in the early 1980s.

I remember it having either a tbar or poma, but I was pretty young. There's actually a number of defunct ski hills in the greater Butte/Anaconda area. Beef Trail, Z bar T, Wraith Hill.

There's a coffee table book about all of the old(abandoned) ski areas in MT. Some are pretty fun to skin for the history if they actually get enough snow..

I've seen it at local and used book stores in Missoula and Bozeman.

It’s a fascinating book. I bought a copy ~10 years ago. I think I found it on Amazon, actually. Bookshop, abebooks are other places to look for used or out of print titles.
