So there is like zero covid/ikon restriction happening now at the Not Quite Spring Skiing Sky huh? Like I get it, they are running a business, but holy fucking spring break batman.
"Restrictions"
Reminds me of the Seinfeld bit about the Ford LTD......."Limited......limited to the number we can sell!"

You surprised?
Most of Big Sky is in Madison County, since Ginaforte rescinded all safety measures they are just doing what the market and the Gubamint allow.I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

Yeah, guess I shouldn't be surprised. The snow in February saved the entire season. Itch = scratched. If MTB trails were melted out I would have the storage wax on the skis.

Finally made it down to big sky on saturday. That mountain sure is beautiful but damn the skiing sucked. Some east coast level ice until about 2pm when the wind rolled in and it was hard to see anything. That place must be killer on a powder day.

It was pretty grim this weekend, but there was some decent skiing to be found on the north side of Challenger lift (Midnight and Moonlight runs), and also out the Turkey Traverse in the Bowl (off the Powder Seeker lift), all the way out to Exit Chute and that South Wall area it was pretty buffy and smooth, I thought. We just kept lapping that stuff because it was the only soft snow we found. Hopefully the next time you go you'll get better conditions.
ETA we started out on Spirit Mountain yesterday morning, figuring that would be the first stuff to soften up, and it was okay. Got my first look at The Montage...holee fuck.

Heh...yeah...I hadn't been in that area for many years. But we were looking for something different to do, and it did actually soften up early in the a.m. And we got to ride the OG bubble lift. lol. I guess they're going to pile all those guests onto that lift to get them over to the mountain? Hmmm...

Couldn't lure in the goats. I guess they prefer to lick rocks.

Been on that project since 2013. Suppose to be completed by late this fall.
I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

Is this the old Club at Spanish Peaks Lodge project? I always wondered what they ended up doing with that project.

Crazy, I remember CSP actually sold one of the condo units in the Lodge before the foundation went in in 2008. Hopefully those folks got their money back. Or a new unit this Fall. Only 13 years late!

Good news it finally snowed a few inches last night in Pig Sky and skiing service animals are a thing.

Can I qualify as a service animal for a rich YC lady?
