Zero miles. Picking up tracks next week, then a couple weeks wait for conversion parts…then Big Belts.

Approach was not great and the drainage out was also not great but well worth the slogging. My head and body needed that big time. Dinner and wine are tasting good tonight. Feeling thankful.

Thanks, swimmy! That’s our boy Og working up a wave of white. Fun morning despite the first big lines at #9. Needed the 15% cream and inch of H2O.

I had a fine day of sliding around Lone Peak today. Got lucky and was waiting on the tram stairs as Patrol switched the Lenin, Marx, and Dictators signs to open. Had the best turns of the year so far down nearly untouched Marx. On lap 2 I ran into swimmy in the tram line (first time I've had to wait this year)-good to see you!

I caught some funky clouds hanging out over the peak at the top of the headwaters hike later in the afternoon.Click image for larger version.

^^Nice pics man. Had a couple fun days at BS with the fam, got to do a couple tram laps with my daughters yesterday although we skipped the terrain openings today due to the line. Saw Leftyt today, him and his bro are finishing up a Montana tour that included Great Divide, Lost Trail, Discovery, Bridger, Big Sky, and tomorrow Snowbowl if they can recover from the shock of seeing the Bengals win. Always good to see that mag.

Cleanup crew at Lost Trail today. They were fortunate enough to avoid the freeze/thaw conditions of the last week, and a foot+ or new over the week made conditions super rippable.

    Wall-to-wall traffic of course:

Good seeing ya and thanks for the beta!

My buddy I was with broke his femur two years ago mtn biking. This was his first day back at Big Sky since and that tram lap was his first run. I'd say it was a nice welcome back.

One of the cute things about Montana ski areas is that many are known for something on the menu at the day lodge.

    Great Divide = cheese fries
    Discovery = HUGE cookies
Snowbowl = “not your Mama’s Mac & Cheese”
    Big Sky = $18 draft PBR’s

Not sure about $18 peebers but the wind buff can be world class. Today was spectacular.

The caption for Snowbowl should not be “Mac and cheese”. While it is indeed good- it is not as ideal as the Pizza and Bloody Marys made there.

And turns today at the bowl ranged from chalky windbuff to proto-corn. Not as good as LT, but still a solid day nonetheless.

Mediocre snow, but cool light on the edge of an inversion in a burn near whitefish today.

Hard to chalky to wind buff today. Hit some rocks and got a lot of sun.

It was good to get out.

RE: 18 dollar PBRs. Went to Town Pump yesterday (no, not your mom) and what used to sell for $6.99 a 6 pack was now $8.29.

Doing my best Gnar_Shralp406 impression today. He'll have to show me how it's really done.
