Helmets are weird. I just come on here to talk shit, no idea how it's received. Watching a Dylan Doc and Patti Smith is rambling about who knows what. In another dimension.
We gotta get all Hollywood and ski at least one Headwaters together. Bbowl 4 lyphe, say no to drugz

Nice!
The tip hooks trip me out because they both look offset/askew in the same way — but then when I tilt my head to be parallel to your skis the tip hooks look totally as they should. Little optical illusion!
Oooooh — wow! Love this shot and the way the skier seems like a coiled spring, storing the energy from the last turn and about to unleash it on the next. I appreciate how you've capture the foreground texture.
High praise. Would always prefer actions (or imagery) to do the talking. Thank you!

^^Nice pics swimmy. Thanks for giving me the straight dope on conditions off the tram before I paid the $60. Went and checked out Bacon Rind area,, untracked but crusty underneath. Headed to the north side where there was a lot more fresh snow. Did Firehole and Hellroaring and then a bunch of DTM laps traversing off the top of Lone Tree. Deep in there! Day that started off kinda marginal ended up being pretty good.

Headwaters cam/stake had snow on it yesterday and Andesite had none. That HW cam pretty much NEVER has snow on it, but when it's stacked like yesterday you know to just go straight to the north side.

Yeah I should probably check the snow report and cams before I drive down there but I rarely do.
Today was well worth the $50 tram charge for bluebird laps on the peak. Did the NSS too and that was very nice. Short tram line, soft snow, uncrowded day, good vibes.

2012 Montana Conditions, Stoke and Whatev Thread
Might be able to duck away for the weekend in the camper. Seems snow reports started trending towards more snow. Where should I go? Targhee is a bit of a haul I think. Maybe lost trail?

Me and family headed to Jackson Friday. 1/2 price tickets for pass holders anywhere. Of course, nowhere to camp except RV parks now that Jackson has been locked down from dirtbagging, so spending $$$ on lodging at hill. Fuck it. Looking forward to living large once in my life.

Good little nugget right here.
NOAA and the avalanche center pretty much covers it for me.
