Made the trek up to Teton Pass Saturday after work and skied there Sunday, a most worthy getaway!
Mrs. BB grew up in Havre and her family took the occasional ski trip there over the years. Here's a classic shot circa 1989 of her(on the right)and a friend getting ready to tear it up in jeans
Conditions were variable as a result of the melt/freeze cycle we've been in, but the views are stunning and as alpine as any in the state
Enjoyed the classic old school vibe and some mellow cruising in the morning
Mrs. BB and I had introduced ourselves to the owner Chuck that morning as we have friends in common and he rolled out the red carpet for us as he and one of the patrollers Rob gave us a personal tour above the lift after lunch (great burger and rueben from the lodge kitchen!) where we found some chalky smooth sliding.
At the end of the day over some beers, Chuck took the time to recount the history of the place and dug out some old photos from the archives for us to check out. The place is an authentic Montana gem, and the juxtaposition of the mom and pop atmosphere coupled with the tourable terrain make it well worth supporting. Looking forward to a return trip!

He did say it was a real Montana ski experience. Seriously, it never snows here, people really should look elsewhere to make their turns.
I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

Cmon man, 400" annually.
Edit to add, odd how that death at Bridger never made the paper and the Big Sky death was front page news.Last edited by Bunion 2020; 03-10-2021 at 01:39 PM.

If you are staying down around town, Montana Ale Works on East Main is decent and consistent.

Food generally sucks here. I cook and it’s usually better than restaurant food. And I’m a ski bum.
