You didn't get any pics of me skiing the skin track switch back to the road. That's bullshit.
Highly variable snow conditions (but generally soft up-high) in observably/relatively stable conditions with warm temps and a bonus sporty luge track exit from a Bozeman touring mainstay superhighway as evidenced by the half-dozen groups of hungover college students on their way up when Riff and I were on our way down. </run-on sentence>
Riff got pretty rad in his short stint in Bozeman:

Anyone have any opinions to share publicly or privately re: Montana Ski Tuning & Boot Fitting (in Bozeman)?
Someone important to me has been dealing with boot issues and needs a solid fitter.
Thanks!!

I tried to use them for boot fitting, will not be going back for boots or ski tuning.

I'm curious what Bandit had happen there. I did an intuition liner bake there with zero issues. Have a few friends who've done the same.

Just bought this, waiting a week for it to arrive. Also getting tracks for it. I’ve owned a lot of tracked vehicles in my time (Trackhead) including ones similar to this. Will be primarily using for Big Belt access and grooming my own Nordic skiing locally. Not as functional as a snowmobile, but will do fine for road access, as that’s all I need it to do.
When it’s set up, locals here encouraged to join in. Need touring partners.

Yeah Trackhead that thing looks badass. I'll be down for some Big Belt action this spring for sure.
Gorgeous morning to ski dust on crust. Take whatever we can get at this point I guess.

One of my previous freak show tracked vehicles back in my Utah days.

Very poor communication while trying to get fitted for intuitions. I'm sure lots of locals have had good service and I'm not disputing their experiences at all. I'm only speaking for myself.
Went to Chalet, very happy with fitting and follow up fine tuning on my intuition liners.

Heck yeah!
Yesterday was fun. Ski a few laps, chill mid slope and watch a bit of racing, catch up with friends, rinse > repeat.
Talked a little photography with BobbyBill. None of my friends have any interest in camera stuff but he's always willing to chew the fat. I appreciate him sharing his experience. I'm still learning but man I'm addicted.
Then at the end of my day, I ran into USDA. Hadn't seen him in a while...that is always an entertaining visit. No surprise he's still crushing it. Dude just has a different gear and it's fucking awesome.
Little in life gives me more stoke than waking up early, checking the snow gauge, and seeing fresh snow.
Today will be fun.

Set my line at +3" for BS and came up short, sure looks windy though.
Maybe go skin up in Hyalite.I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

2012 Montana Conditions, Stoke and Whatev Thread
Wonderful soft snow today and lots of hot pow bumps!
Side note: D route was skied off by 12 pm. Still had an amazing fun day and the stoke level was high, especially with the high schoolers who got out of class early today for finals.
Damn this mountain has amazing skiers.

2012 Montana Conditions, Stoke and Whatev Thread
Skied prob around 2500’ on yellow this morning and conditions were incredible. Peaked into Titanic and got some good views of Wilson and Middle peak. Sun popped on the second lap and skied sparkle pow all the way into the drainage. Best skiing of the season for me hands down. Approach was not great and the drainage out was also not great but well worth the slogging. My head and body needed that big time. Dinner and wine are tasting good tonight. Feeling thankful.
