Hard to say what the total is, no remote stations up and online yet at BB. Down south the Y/C station is reading 11.0" but it seemed to snow more to the north than down in Big Scree country. One thing for certain is that it is dense snow. Suppose to be 40s & 50s by Saturday, get it while you can.
North facing and protected areas have their 1st layer, south and west will probably go bare again.I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

Drove up to the top of Olsen Creek Rd yesterday. I’d say there was at least a foot up there.

Yeah looked like it varied quite a bit. Down lower in Mountain Village not all that much snow. Maybe 8 or so inches, but the sun almost popped out today and you could see into the lower bowl and it looked pretty freaking deep up there.

Well I was gonna try and sneak a last mtb ride at curly but looks like I'll throw the split in and take a walk instead. Hopefully all the college kids and coloradbros are sticking to the bridgers. (Not actually expecting turns).

Hey Montana friends- checking in to see if anything is riding between the Tetons and Butte. Lewis and Clark? Copper City? Or should I just wait another day? Bring skis?
@panchosdad is working on our future rentals in Butte so I am going to meet him. Got any Butte recommendations?

I didnt stop but was driving by L&C around noonish and it looked ride able but didnt pull in to check. It had warmed up pretty good and snow was almost nonexistent. Might be worth a look with temps 2moro.

Heh, I was wondering if you would catch that. Yes, rolled over one Teton Valley rental into two in Butte. So we'll be around more, and especially in transit between the two. Rode a lot of great new to us and empty trail in the Tobacco Roots this year.
Might try for a Lewis and Clark spin tomorrow midday. Will report back.

they are usually pretty good about answering the phone and giving an on scene trails report. I was going to phone them this morning about 9.
From what I have seen Butte is going off these days and a good place to consider if you don't mind all the old contamination, it is getting cleaned up. Joe Schmoe keeps a place over that way and his wife prefers it to Bozeman.I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

I sold a client a registered historic house in Uptown this past summer for just a stupid cheap price. Like a joke. Home is freaking awesome actually.

If I were a speculator in such matters, I'd look for a nice cleaned-up view lot in Anaconda and build six high-end units on it, either condos or townhomes or whatever. Something that would appeal to the retired Seattle/San Fran/Denver types moving to that area.
But I'm not so I won't.
