    Nobody cares that you tele!

Ha! I tele'd for decades so it's fun to drop that on others. I started because AT gear sucked in the early 80's, and then I just kept doing it cause that was all the gear I had. I loved the feel of the turn but now that I'm on alpine gear there is no way I'd go back. I struggled unnecessarily for way too long.

I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

It's every bit as good as it looks. There is literally miles of it south of Goose Bay.

Since this is the everywhere thread now...

Whitefish has been scenic, even if the skiing has been shit. (Still just preseason hiking - lifts spin Thursday).

Blessed be the mods for changing the thread title (and a special thank you to baby bear). Accepting change to anything isn’t easy, especially when it comes to an 8-year old thread. I’m sure smaller threads like the missoula one will still endure, but it’s good to give mags the opportunity to show some love to every corner of the state.

Tremper's is the "chute" that comes into Flippers below Angel's Flight.

May Ullr strike me down, I've been loving this November/December. But it's probably about time to get some snow.

Turns were had on Saturday (w/ doggie stoke)...

As well as Sunday... (Pretty sure this is not the preferred method of descending Crohn's after the bootpack up. EDIT: Guess I suck at uploading photos. Sorry for the rotation issue.)

Decided to scoot over to Lolo Pass yesterday for some nodorking and to see how the snow has been holding up at higher elevations. High and dry in Missoula, but a little elevation change makes all the difference this time of year.

Been bumming out a bit with the lack of a “wintry” feel, so it felt damn good to be immersed in it again for a day. We both needed it.

Love that feeling of being dwarfed by the old growth out there.

This is the year for Idaho. Wonder how the folks in Silver Mtn and Schweitzer are fairing. Sawtooths look fat.

Not good. I drove over Lookout and past Silver last weekend and it was looking just as grim as everywhere in MT.

We are very dry here, no precipitation in the last 2weeks. Forecast looking grim as well. Conditions on all our hills is spicy at the moment.

The Marysville Drift! That thing is actually kind of fun when it has snow. Here's one from pandemic skiing on the drift last spring, so we can remember what snow looks like.

Awesome shot! It would have been better if I didn't bootpack it. Whatever makes the doggo happy.

We understand that the early closure during our 2019-2020 winter season was disruptive and a disappointment to us all. To uphold our promise of providing a great winter season for our passholders, we have added a Worry-Free Winter Assurance plan to every season pass product.

Big Sky Resort promises to operate at least 140 days, the average number of days over the past 7 years. If the resort were to close due to unforeseen circumstances and operate fewer than those 140 days, a credit based on the number of days lost will be issued to passholders to use toward a 2021-22 season pass. Passholders also have the option to roll over the value of an unused 2020-21 pass as a credit towards a 2021-22 pass for any reason through January 15, 2021, at no cost.
    Hmmmmm

Perhaps because the slow start? Really no downside to BS for extending the deadline. Probably just prevent people from canceling out of caution without really being able to see if the season is going to work out.

Yeah, I think they are just hoping the faucet turns on.....if no date extension I could see people rolling over passes not for covid, but just because the skiing is pretty awful right now.

Anybody have a certain date they want to get dumped on? I may be persuaded to coordinate my pass rollover with offerings of Celebration Ale.
