Sounds about right. There was around 5'' from opening until closing yesterday. Left side of the bowl should be nice. Drift looked filled in as well.

I confess that I had to do a search for the bars listed to determine that 'Mt Cheesefry' must be Great Divide? Looks like a fun place. Looking forward to Bridger's opening tomorrow, shitshow for sure, but I'm assuming a good vibe shitshow

Kind of funky snow in the Big Sky BC today. Warm and fairly windy. Saw a few groups getting after it but I took one lap and dipped.

BB has their opening routine pretty well dialed in. It will be busy but you are pretty well guaranteed a good time.
I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

Haven't skied there since attending and flunking out of MSU in (twice) in the early 90's due to hiking the ridge during biochemistry lab. What's the weekend scene like? Crazy as fuck all the time, huge lift lines? Like to ski there with my 10 yr old this year a bit.

Definitely wintery and fairly deep up top. It was 20 degrees but the snow seemed almost heavy, with a high moisture content. Good news is it won't blow away, and if we get the predicted Christmas storm it could set us up well for terrain openings.

Hell yeah! This might be a good year after all. Sounds like they’ve been getting angry at some of the uphillers. I think I might hike up to their south side terrain if the top of Belmont looked that good.

Weekends are busy but not too bad if you know how to play the game and avoid certain areas at certain times. Powder day weekends (and usually weekdays too) are when it becomes a real junk show. Scene is about the same, maybe a little less crusty and definitely more busy than years past (I arrived early 2000's). Hopefully see some of you hooligans up there tomorrow afternoon

This is an exceedingly bold claim.

I haven't been there, just sayin'.

How’s the coverage? How boney is it?

That’s a rook question, I’m sorry, but I’m trying to decide which skis to pack.

You'll hit rocks. Bring the right skis and have some fun.

Fun day today, lots of smiles and more snow in the forecast.

Vid of the Day made it look pretty fun. Might make it up this afternoon with the 5yo.

Snow is staying cold in the shadows despite the sun and warm wind.

All skis are rock skis in Gallatin County, but that doesn't mean it's not fun. It's extremely fun.

Got out for a few laps late in the day yesterday, felt really good to finally be out riding lifts.
