Anyone have an old ski rack for regular crossbars they aren’t using? Haven’t seen any around Helena on Facebook in a while.

Rob, these are without a doubt the best pictures that I ever have seen of myself. I set this one as a desktop background, and if I let myself get too excited, I might frame and put it on a wall. Didnt see you the rest of the day, I following around a pack of 30-something ski instructors, and got to see a bunch of the mountain that I probably cant find again. Finished the day with a liberty bowl run that was legit waist deep. Also, your seasonal outdoor illumination is crisp and clean, well done. T

Everyone I met was super chill and very nice. Looking forward to skiing with Mags tomorrow. Wind buff in Liberty was all time and the new Hertiage Labs ate it up… so good!

But it's so satisfying to just plug it all back in to a timer and it's good to go for this year!

Nice! Shooting randoms at the resort poses its own set of challenges. It is helpful that you can make a turn. And I'm not sure if the image gets compressed when I hotlink here so I'll email it to ya.

Dude, you crushed it. Hard to beat walk on tram when the skiing is good up top. Wish I was coming up today but my wife has the day off and wants to hang. But link up with Yeahman if you can. He's a good dude and fun to ski with.

I wish I could get out there this week Singlecross. You've pretty much nailed the best start we've had in years.

Impressive lighting Swimmy. I definitely would have pulled the Griswold and fallen off that roof. I keep all my stuff down low and up all year as well

Yes, Hard Bross has been a great touring shell and I was packing light on this trip so it did fine as a resort coat as well! Hoping my orange Japanorak comes in before my mid January trip to Japow. If not, the Hard Bross will represent!

Nope, gotta get home before all the weekend flights fill up as I’m dirtbagging and flying standby on every leg. Plus, someone’s gotta stir the soup pot back in New England!

Another day of bomb-ass skiing in early-Dec, and as many have already stated: its been a treat to have conditions be this good this early.

I've grown to love the early-season crowd that hike before the lifts spin. Everyone is happy, everyone is stoked, and any random passerby on the hill is eager to strike up a conversation. It just feels... right.

I was pretty cool today. Went down to the really Big for sunshine and cold snow. Buddy who patrols at BB texted me this am that is was my late friends B-day today so that demanded a run down 17 Green (Pete's favorite line). It skied well.

Walk on tram for a lap down Marx, it was not great until the bottom 1/4 but was worth the time. Spun through the Moonlight terrain, excellent coverage on that side but chilly. Hooked up with a buddy and we spun some sunny comfort laps as well as some swifty turns.

    Miss ya Pete.

Whitefish opened today. Best opening day in almost a decade. 80% of the mountain was open and the snow was great. Sounds like the remaining 20% is queued up for Saturday. Only hit a moderate amount of rock and wood today, which is always nice. Didn't get any pictures because I was busy making my knees hurt, but it's shaping up to be a good season.
