Fuck Ullr, I can wait another month.
I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

I'm still in MTB mode for another month. Early snow just fucks up the snowpack anyway, right?

There is that, personally I really love Indian summer and want it to last.
Something about that low angle light at the end of the day when the wind has stopped and it is still warm but you know that within about an hour you will need a jacket.I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

Fall season always lands a foot or two in SW Montana, so I think what we need is mega snow in November and Dec!

Played a walk-on round at Old Works on Tuesday and rode empty CC trails today. October is the shit. Helps restore a tiny bit of faith in why I live in Montana.

Got my woodstove/chimney fixed and had the 1st fire of the season, ready for winter! Also might hit the bike park after this moisture. Yeehaw!

Funny. I see Papa John Creech with a dragon tail laying on his back strumming on a mandolin. .....on his high horse Mescalito...

I have to go to work for two weeks, so somebody do me a favor and post the Bridger bowl WebCam pic showing the first mad rush to ski grass and dirt.
Ps. October has delivered before!

Driving the canyon will be fun today. Snow looks wet as to be expected.

At least the pavement was pretty warm, tomorrow with be the bitch. Doesn't help that I had to drive down there on Saturday and Sunday to look at construction sites already struggling due to rain on Thursday and Friday.
Fuck it, this is the life I have chosen, bring on winter I guess.I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

Everyone has had a pretty good seven months weather wise for building, they shouldn't be crying that much.

I moved here in September 2008. In October I was working on a job downtown when the first snow came. Walking into the jobsite I joked, "what's this white shit on the ground?". Guy I was with replied, "we call this the welcome mat, cali boy."
I'm thinking of all the new residents out there white knuckling it this morning.

Didn't see or hear much crying. Most every site I went to was vacant. Somehow everyone was surprised by the snowstorm.
Drive sucked to Beckman Flats with lots of people managing to drive off the road. Once past there is was not bad. Biggest gripe was my antenna on my truck kept icing and then it would gyrate wildly. Back home now watching the Braves/Brewers.I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

Yeah, the canyon wasn't too bad this am. Nice and wet now to freeze hard tonight. At Home Depot this AM the three other people in line were bundled up big time (shit it was barely freezing) and buying snow shovels.
