I hope they get the forum working but at this point it is pretty much unusable.

    ^^^ great shot!

When do we start the serious discussions of a board-wide migration?

Oh and finally met Gnar. I’m jealous of how he skis. Check out his latest on the gram skiing hells half. And I love that song.
Great to meet you too, Swimmy!

I just created a profile over at skitalks. I’m going to try that out for a bit and get a feel for the place. I already recognize a few mags but dang, feels good to have a functioning site. They also have a Big Sky sub forum.I’m swimmy over there if anyone stops by.

hey guys - I have a profile at SkiTalk - it is a functional site, more comparable to epicski ; I believe the owners/administrators are decent, hard-working people, and have created a valuable resource. That said, I find their editor-ing of posts, ,,, personally objectionable. tgr forums is my third go round ( K2, powdermag previously ), and If tgr gives up, and we are unable to transfer the database to a new host, I believe I will bow-out. THIS IS my community - and I love this place. I recognize that I am on the distant fringe, but FknA, and Change for a nickel(?) I will ride until they turn out the lights. respectfully, my friends skiJ

Got a late night text from my kid. He’s 20 yrs old and a junior at MSU and manages to ski Bridger almost everyday. Included in the text is a pic of a straight line him and a buddy are about to drop. I think it’s called Saber Slice? He said he dropped it, got crushed by the compression afterwards and exploded. Otherwise, things are great. I called BS without video, and he said it’s coming.

So here’s the pic he sent me. That’s his bro in front, my kid took the pic. He didn’t mention his bro wrecked too.

That’s his bro being attended to by patrol. For the sake of privacy I blacked out his face which was a little bloody. Well it turns out bro wrecked a little harder.

Ouch! It’s never a good time to get hurt, but I guess if it had to happen, the end of the season is the time to do it. Sounds like no ligament damage, just bone.

WTF?!? 20 yr olds make “interesting” choices. I think my kids sperm has backed up and flooded his brain. At least he escaped injury, for now.

If it wasn’t refrozen skank, the car could cut a road through this. Took me all winter to sort out the kinks but it kicked ass today on a 14 mile out and back.

Nice Trackhead, I remember you writing how clearing off camber roads was a big goal of yours. Sierra skier that line has been skied hundreds and hundreds of times, be easy on yer son.

Muted, you are correct. Took me all winter to sort out all the mechanical nuances but did 14 miles today and feel like for a DIY 2000lb cat it’s pretty capable. 10mph is pretty easy but cutting and plowing is slow, like 5mph.

    Solid fucking work Trackhead!

So, what would you maggots do: I got me a real nice custom ring that the lady picked out (after looking at every possible ring on the planet) and at this point its a foregone conclusion. Today is her birthday and her sister is visiting just for the day. We were all gonna ride the tram. I think you get the idea. This isn't some massive surprise other than she hasn't actually seen the ring in person yet (but she picked out the stone that was put in a new setting).

Anyway, it's milk bottle up there. Of course lol. She doesn't have the luxury like many of us degenerates where she can just go up the mountain any old day. Push until the weekend? We've been waiting and waiting and her sister being here today is a big part of the puzzle. Fuck it, get engaged IN the tram lolol?

I'm guessing sun will poke out a little today, so might get some cool lighting windows from top of peak. I did top of Snowbowl with no view and still married, so should be fine if white out :-)

Man, I missed a lot being in Japan over the winter. Looks like a great season, the potential end of TGR forums, and now WRG is getting hitched. Time sure flies.
Anyone keen to get together for an end of season meetup at Bridger on Sunday? Could be a snowy closing day.
