Great skiing at the Really Big today but unfortunately there was a fatality out in Dakota Bowl near Randy's (sorry Bunion). I heard he wrecked in some rocks and was unresponsive when patrol got there. RIP skier

^^^ RIP. I assume that's why the Tram closed early? Buddy was skiing up there and couldn't figure out why they closed it early.

They closed it a little before 2 and reopened it just before 3 for one last lap. I was in the penalty box when they closed it and they made us download. All hands on deck situation.

RIP indeed. Sorriests to the family and friends and the folks who had to deal with the incident.

That’s shitty. I beatered pretty hard into some rocks out there last spring. So inviting to let it rip until it isn’t.

Vid of my older one from today pretty much skiing the way I do in my dreams.

Hate hearing about fatal accidents, skiing is so damn fun.

BB was awesome these last two days. The new snow on top of the leftovers from yesterday skied so nice.

Crazy Karl's video today from Bridger was pretty cool. What line is this?

That is called Super Jaws. The crazy part is if you just rode up Slushmans chair and skied fall line down the top pitch you would end up right in it. I’m sure the kids have a different name for it, probably so do the old guys. It’s actually the same run in the vid I posted yesterday, it was just filmed from below in my vid. My son took me down it a couple times last weekend. I’m always a bit scared of it but it is pretty chill at these snow levels. Entrance is super bony until you get to the pinch and below there is just awesome snow in that big protected bowl. The kids then head straight for the wind lip for backflips but there is a ton of fun tree and gully skiing below there on the way back to the lift.

Looks like another refresh. Think I am headed back down for a few hours. I still want morrre, more, more, more!

And it brings me a lot of joy knowing that this kid flies in a couple of days ago not only to luck out with incredible spring conditions, but runs into some random dude in line with a big camera who obsesses about ski photography. He'll not only have a story to tell but some images to back it up. I love that shit.

You ever do the little billygoat line into that, from skiers right? You can swoop/drop off the rock rib into the wide part of the lower chute.

Never skied that one Norseman. Thanks for the tip. Pretty cool zone. Kinda fun to spin laps in there on a sunny spring morning before it heats up. Easy ups to cool lines all through the Jaws zone. That was a go to for Tone Capone. I remember him skiing a wicked spine in there one especially fat spring. He had the pic on his fridge for years.

Pretty sure Swimmy operates out of Alta and we just pay him to make the skiing in Montana look better.

Found a few leftovers with Yeahman this morning. Maybe a second career in ski modeling?

Another fun day. USDA must have missed his turn to Bridger as he showed up for first tram. Sweet! We skied a south face lap…it was ok. Then hit the Snowfield…little better.

Afterwards, I met up with a few homies and went looking for stashes.

Oh and finally met Gnar. I’m jealous of how he skis. Check out his latest on the gram skiing hells half. And I love that song.

Sun cook things today or did it stay cold enough? Looks like I'm showing up a few days late, but will not complain about spring skiing:-)

It is definitely springtime but there was plenty of soft snow when we left yesterday afternoon. This was our last run

^^^ Yep, yesterday was great. Patrol got Tits Up open for the first time in recent mammaries. We sampled the offering and basked in her holiness. Then we took our weekly class at Swimmy's School of Beauty Turning. Non-mag Tommy is most improved turner for the season by far. His form is really coming together. Dave showed up for literally one turn to show us how it's done.

    Good fucking times.
