Eight a.m. for Ramcharger. But with the hordes this will likely result in, it will hardly be worth it IMO.Tram is $10-$30 a ride, depending on how crowded it is.

First chair Ramcharger, grab three laps.
Then hop back in swifty line at 8:30 and still get first tram.
Morning Ramcharger was solid early AM. Dictators were socked in until early afternoon. Skies opened by 2:00 and Lennin skied awesomely. Hit em around 11:30 and the top was dicey as we could see less than Ray Charles for the first 500 yards. Snow was chalky spongy awesome. By 1:00 the snow was equal to wet sandpaper.
Saw two vids on the gram yesterday of guys skiing the Little. Top part was side steppin’ rocks. I was a little gripped just watching.

You have to follow @skiing_tim_tim
His account is private so you can't just go to his page and see the posts. A+ cajones for getting it done, but yeah insanely thin. When I was on the list in 2018 they were only letting people ski Apple Core and after 3 groups they closed it and turned us away. I was honestly kinda thankful because it was sidestepping rocks for 200 feet probably.
Headed down for a ceremony and a bit of skiing. 11:30 at the old Tram base is a gathering of the friends of Joe Sharpe, He passed last February and was a long time local. No matter the conditions or the weather, if you met up with Joe, he was psyched to be skiing with you and that rubbed off. Vaya Con Dios Jorge. ETA: Good turnout, 30+ old big sky folks, brought mist to my eyes. The skiing was.......Meh. Joe would have loved it.

I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

Passes are out. Gold is $2400. I think that’s the same price as last year?
@ Swimmy, yes I believe that is correct.
The Tram add on is kind of a no brainer, with a black pass you are well under the gold pass price, the Blue pass is really a steal as is the Green.

^^^ Yep, Black + Unlimited Tram add on seems like a good deal. Shit even Blue + Unl Tram + Apres add on.
Also, does anyone know if you can roll over a BB pass lol? Ashamed to admit I never used my midweek this year. Too many good days skiing rocks with Swimmy down south. With Superior over in Japan I didn't have the usual ridge hiking crew and always got drawn down to the rectangular vert machine.
Call and speak to the tickets manager. Can you claim any sort of injury?

Any intel from BS today? Worth skiing tomorrow? Heard its hit or miss. May wait until Sunday as winter returns
As far as passes….Dilemma of choosing Blue and going for the tram add on or buying gold. Wish gold was like $2k or so with an included mtn collective. I have been rocking blue + mtn collective for a few years and its done me well. Don’t like skiing Saturdays with the masses.

Green pass plus tram add-on is a helluva deal for somebody like me who only skis weekdays.
I was there yesterday and today. Super slushy tram laps yesterday were fun but once it refreezes it will be fukd until we get more snow. Lower mountain was okay this morning but already getting grabby when I left. I think it's going to be firm all over until it snows, sorry to say. Although the snowfield still had cold snow. Don't think they'll open the tram just for the snowfield though. And HW hike was closed. On the plus side the umbrella was off for the first time this season. Now I know why they call it an umbrella bar lol. Warm af.

New trail in the Scratchgravels is short but fun. Couple techy spots which would be more fun riding north to south IMO. I guess they call it South Loop. Supposedly more new trails are coming, but when I don't know.![]()
Who knows what today will be like but think I’m headed down for a few turns.
I went ahead and entered the shootout. You were allowed to submit 5 photos and they had to be taken between Jan 15 - Mar 23. Here are my submissions

Number two is a winner, they all are but I think that’s the one
Nice! The number 2 turn and tree is sick for sure, (they are all quality) but I was struck by the scale and scene on number 4 of yeahman I believe when you originally posted it; the perspective and feeling of being there in the moment is awesome! Good luck, and maybe we'll see you up here with the poors before the season winds down!
Buy the ticket...take the ride.
Good luck swimmy! This week is looking good, I'll definitely be there.
My vote is #1. Pure isolation from humanity.
Rad pics as always swimmith!
Damn those pics are amazing!! [emoji637] and [emoji638] for me
