This fella wasn't budging off the ridge, so I turned around. I was hoping to ride the Jones Creek Divide back to Truman.

Seems like they got a suspect arrested for the moose creek murder. Reddit seems to think it was some dude with a bunch of nazi tattoos arrested near basin.
"they put out a law enforcement BOLO last Thursday (maybe was Friday) of a suspect in the homicide, basically the suspects description was someone covered in nazi tattoos. Now why that wasn’t passed onto the public, I don’t know. I’m extremely curious if this suspect is the same person the guy who was staying at moose creek campground heard screaming stuff like “I’m Jesus Christ” followed by a gun shot after screaming each various phrase, don’t remember if I read that on Bozeman or Montana subreddit, the person did contact the authorities with those details."

Correct. He was from Basin and worked construction in BS. He was going to camp at the same spot and ran into the other poor guy. The guy camping offered him a beer, and that is how they tracked down the killer. DNA from the beercan. He admitted it. I read the article. it was sad

Moose creek is super sketch. One of the guys on our crew had a gun pulled on him over a camping spot dispute up there a few years ago.
Looking for a construction worker with Nazi tattoos is casting a pretty wide net in my experience.

He’s a verified white power nazi homeless contractor who has been arrested before, and had a track record of being a shit stain. Further proof that our system doesn’t work.
“Oh, you mean the drunk, abusive racist who’s been in the news? He killed guy? Who could have ever seen that coming??”

Reminds me of the last boom in big sky when every fuck up pos "contractor" from Idaho etc came for the quick cash. And bozo PD/Gallatin county sheriff is only good for shooting dogs and issuing dui's.
In better news we got 4-6in of heavy snow around Georgetown lake last night. Gonna break out the iron and get to waxing.

The entire frame, except the unfinished front, is coated with Monstaliner. The tub frame is closed with galvanized sheet metal. The red parts are FRP panels.
It's not done yet.......whenever I think I'm close, I find another month of work to do on it.
My hands don't work anymore, are covered in lacerations, and I'm exhausted. I get up at 5am and bust ass on it before work, then after work. Then days off. It's been an obsession that has been exhausting.

Don’t get ahead of yourself it’s not exactly proven design yet
A guy I know in town had a company building heavy duty 8 wheel vehicles on tracks, amphibious. Did that for 17 years. There’s a small chance I might convert this to hydrostatic drive next season. He’s got a wealth of knowledge.

This really is next level shit. Just having the skill set to build something like that is impressive. But then it is a bad ass snow machine which makes it even more heady.
I really hope we get an opportunity to ski together this winter. You just say when and I’ll bring gas money and camera gear.
Dang this is
