Looking for some fill in work. I don't advertise but I am an insured independent contractor and I do some stuff for my real estate clients generally. Handyman stuff, light carpentry (just replaced some hand rail tops for a client using reclaimed + burn + stain + poly), paint/stain (helping a friend who some of you have skied with who has his own painting biz this week) interior/exterior. Been doing a semi-opaque oil stain on a shop and house in south bozeman this week......trying to dodge rain though and you can't fuck around with exterior oil.
If you or anyone you know needs something done let me know!

View from the summit of Ramshorn Peak looking toward Ramshorn Lake and Lone Mountain. When we got to the peak we spotted what we thought was a wolf below us. It went out of sight behind a rise. Then we saw a group of bighorn sheep below the summit (circled in second pic). Next thing we know four wolves appear on the ridge above the sheep. Two light gray and two black. They launch a coordinated attack on the sheep who make a break for the cliffbands below. (I grabbed the binos and put the phone down, so no pics.) One bighorn got separated from the herd and last we saw the wolves were pursuing it, not in any particular hurry. Still, the amount of country the sheep and wolves covered in a matter of a few minutes was impressive. Then it was over and they were all gone. Pretty crazy stuff. That whole Tom Miner basin is awesome. We also saw black bears and mountain goats up there. Coulda used swimmy and his long lens.

Yeahman that is badass. Thanks for sharing.
There are huge cutties on the right side of the lake in your pic where the trail comes in. Like in that 20” class if you have the right rig.
Love it up there

While being pursued by the MLB game warden.
I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

Swimmy her
Norseman has cool shit. I really dig the fireweed #4 and b&w #7. Nice dude.
No wolves taking down sheep in the alpine but still a solid hike today.
I was hiking solo with the dog in thick grizz country (fortunately didn't see any) so had him wearing bells.

When does big sky release those super cheap hotel dates. Someone mentioned them here last year which turned into a very sweet quick vacation.

Nice work BobbyBill! Back in June we hiked up to the saddle between Helmet and Sphinx. That is a really cool area.
Anyone interested in a backpack next weekend? I've got my eye on Alp Lake at the base of Imp. Normally I'd just roll solo but that's pretty thick grizz country.

Big Day in the Big Holes
The Caribou Jack enduro is something special. After 30 miles and 7K of elevation gain (and a couple of beers), I'm already stoked for next year's event! It wouldn't have been possible without all of the volunteers running timing and, most importantly, the aid stations along the way. Photographer, Ben Gavelda, took so many killer shots. I love the last one of my buddy Garth charging down the chunk.

Good stuff all! Let's keep the summer stoke rolling. Won't be long till we're seeing the peaks dusted in snow.
