Somewhere back in this thread I said we were in for a summer like 2018. We're heading into La Niña. I remember that summer just never really getting off the ground. Brief streaks of warm days that never really got hot. Many days of cold cloudy spring like weather all summer long.

I am good with that regimen. Fuck wildfire smoke.

OTOH, I had to turn the heat on this am.

    Brrrrrrr!

Yep, we like it cold in the house but relented and turned the heat on this AM to at least get above 60.

Anyone familiar with Pine Creek Campround? I've driven by it, but never really looked at the sites. I want to reserve a couple nights after some shows at Pine Creek in Sept and ideally a good spot not super close to the other sites and with some shade. I rarely ever camp at actual campsites but there isn't really much down that way to NF dispersed camp really,,,,,unless there is something I'm not aware of that isn't 40 minutes away from Pine Creek.

Every bit of weather like this helps delay fire season just a little bit longer. Glad to see you all layering up out there still in June.

There's a KOA very close if all you're doing is crashing after a show. Not cheap but very close. The campground at Pine Creek is nice and shaded and has good hiking, but it's a bit of a drive to get up there.

Pine Creek south of Livingston? I’ve stayed there a couple times. Nice sites. No cell signal if that matters to you. Good long hikes in mountains.

It's starting to stick here on the east side, this is going to bust up some trees if it keeps going.

I was in Challis ID working for the USFS on the Middle Fk of the Salmon, read about it in the funny papers though.

Ha. I remember I was at Specs having a drink and the news came on announcing Big sky would open Mr K. for the day. Flag day I think. Still amazed they opened. We had a blast.

Swimmy looks good in front of the camera too! To get critical though; Swimmy's hands do look better holding a large trout.

    Nice work!

Anyone know a fabricator/welder in the area that would want to take on a relatively simple interior railing project in Big Sky? Need some changes made to a railing in a condo. It's 1.5" square stock with spindles. 6 linear feet at the top of a landing doesn't have a railing and we need one that matches some existing railing.

Thanks guys. I also got a bunch of numbers from other people. Hopefully I already have someone who is willing and available. I could see someone not wanting to bother to drive to BS for a relatively small project when they already have plenty of big job/new construction work booked out.

Had to stop and get some things while I was near Big Sky. A lady at the deli counter in Roxy's asks the counter guy "So is town starting to get busy?" Followed by "Oh I didn't think summers would be too busy..." she was also wearing a tennis skirt and polo..

I could barely keep it together especially after deli guys initial reaction.
