POV TR - Aly After 2 Days of Torture
Torture is such a relative word. It was torture when Aly was closed this past Sunday because of high winds. I was hoping for a free refill day. Then I planned to play hookey on Monday to ski and the immense amount of snow had avalanches and power outages shut down the mtn. So Tuesday it was. 36" of wind blown and a 1pm North Face rope drop. Unbelievable day after two days of torture.
Nothing fancy, just a great day! Hope you enjoy some stoke which is severly missing from the front page!
As usual, blasting the audio is suggested.

I totally should have blown off studying for my final tuesday! I'll be headed down in the morning to make up for my horrible mistake. Hopefully this system stays productive.

Yep, rope drop at about 1pm for TNF awesome. My priority, hit those newly gladed trees and book it to the tram before line builds.
Then after that, in the tram shot, you can hear the dudes say
dude 1 w/ stoked kid: "best run of my life"
dude 2:"that what I was going to say"
dude 1 w/ stoked kid: "It was like a heli run"
dude 2: "It really was"
stoked kid "..." *ear to ear grin
Flute song, when I heard it I knew it was going into one of my POV edits. shits hilarious.

I don't know how Alyeska was today but Hatcher was knee deep to mid thigh and light and fluffy. Also the light was beyond flat (even by AK standards) even had some whiteout. Very nice.

One week later:
Groundhog sunday, ripping wind, heavy precip, late opening, no outer areas, power outages. Night skiing tonight could be sweet. Monday, even better...

Looks like it might be a few days before they reopen due to a power outage.
