I just sat in the car for an hour to go through a Christmas in color thing, in the car. If it hadn't been for the kids enjoying it, (and I tried hard to pretend) I definitely was thinking of ways to end the pain.

Don't drink anymore, but if I had known we were going for a 2+ hour car ride with nothing but Xmas music, waiting in line, and flashing lights, I would have made sure double up on the regular dosage of gummies.

Finally finished all my hand made gifts last night at midnight (needle felted ornaments, catnip toys and wet felted tree garland) and now it's on to grocery and last minute shopping then baking and cooking. Covid has certainly not made a dent in all I have to do this holiday. If anything it's made more work. Oh well! Holly Jolly! Ho-ho-ho!

Can't wait to give out these ornaments this year:

    more powdered sugar, less water.

I make a spice cookie that uses rum (or you could use bourbon) in the icing. Just substitue out the water or mix a little of both depending on how strong you want it.

In this case, less muscle. My adult daughter did fine. Her 18 yo brother kept squeezing the cheap sandwich bag too hard and causing blowouts. And ya, the frosting probably could have been tweaked a little. The kids probably didn't need to hear their dad yell Bukake!

+1. That Schwartz kid's delivery is awesome in so many parts of that movie.

While everyone is off with their toys and their treasures of the day, the dog and I got our final viewing of A Christmas Story in and caught FX’s 2019 take on a Christmas Carol.

If you haven’t seen it, you should. The cast is fantastic and it’s fucking dark. Like really dark and might be my most favorite version yet.

I love how once the Christmas shopping season rolls around it completely normalizes grabbing a cocktail at noon while you’re bouncing around picking up gifts.

The getting gifts to give is a pretty nice feeling too. But it’s accentuated by a Manhattan on a crisp day.
