I have a responsibility to not be intimidated and bullied by low life losers who abuse what little power is granted to them as ski patrollers.

I get why, but that stinks. I had my annual employee orientation last weekend with the new management. Emphasis on fun was definitely new and much more interesting than in the past. We'll see how it plays out, but it made me more optimistic. Commitment to sprucing up facilities (including new bathrooms in lodge at Alpental) was encouraging. They seemed to understand the market they are in and how they stack compared to Crystal and Stevens and need to play to their strengths.

BTW, said bike park plans have been submitted to government but will likely take 3 summers to complete.

Well, when you're night skiing clientele consists mostly of ski racers & school kids it's not hard to see why...

I am stoked about the extension to 5. Sometimes it's good enough you wanna stay & ride but I'm wiped-out by dinner time

Heading over to the golf course this afternoon to poke around - I've heard good things but I fear the wind that picked-up overnight may have shifted things around

The wife and I signed up a few weeks back for an avalanche rescue refresher course @ Stevens Pass for this Sunday. She has to travel for work now, so she is missing the class, and the registration fee is non-refundable. Anybody interested in taking her spot?

Forecast for the the padded seats is not looking too promising for the next week. Keep your easterly flow thoughts going this week.

I'm no expert on the nuances of padded seats weather but I don't see easterly flow helping too much when it's 39 degrees over there.

Played a full day of golf - the drizzle arrived around the same time that the Hawks tipped into overtime

Wildside cracked around 11, the castle was stormed and contributions were made to the mank bank. FL gets way too high a few times this week, but, come hell or high water, Central's opening Wed.

Easterly flow is keeping it snow for now. Hopefully it can hold on as long as it can today. The base is finally looking OK on the webcam. Saw they were running Armstrong at 7am. Hoping this storm brings enough for us to be skiing the padded seats by the weekend.
