Bout same. Sandy is a good spot for ski access. Not so good for any resemblance of culture. Not that Utah has a ton to begin with but that's not what I am here for.

<1 mile from town hill and about 20 to the tram. But surrounded by skiable peaks in every direction ripe for the skin, sled, booter. Yes, pretty fortunate.

35 mins to shitty MN hills, racing makes it fun though. 13 hours to a decent mountain, or 8 to Bohemia.
Five minutes into the drive and you're already driving me crazy...

3.5hrs. to shite...10hrs. to Tremblant (also shite).
4 by air to Calgary, then 3-8 by car to Castle/Fernie/Red or KH/Revy/Red.
Or, 8 hours to Kelowna, then 1-4 to SS, big Flat Revy, Red.
    It's a commitment.

12 miles to Mission, I can have my but in a chair at just over 25 minutes if the road is dry. Self powered skiing anywhere from out the door midwinter to 15-20 minutes for good to great touring from December to May. 1-3 hours for anything on the east slopes between the Teanaway and WA Pass.

1 hour 40. Lift served. Daughter coaches weekends but is still too young to drive so it's a commitment.

I live at base of defunct ski area, so skins are on right out the front door.

16 miles to Steamboat, 11 miles to Rabbit Ears.

Lately it's been 2-3 hours to Alta on powder weekends instead of 30 minutes.

The yard borders the Caribou-Targhee National Forest Boundary, better XC than ski touring but there's a few mellow hills I can tour from the house. Targhee is 30 mins away, the Pass about 20.

If traffic is good it's 20 minutes to terminal parking then thanks to the magic of east-west time travel, and the good people on DL1509, it only takes an hour to be 30 minutes from the door in the Beav. So, 1 hour 50 minutes if I adjust my watch. And two bloody marys. Ok three.

Well, plus 60 minutes or more to be at the airport before your flight, plus waiting for your luggage and then the EGE-Beav shuttle to depart.

1:20 for me to the local pimple, 1:40 to the slightly larger local pimple. ~7 hours door-door to LCC, but unfortunately that's only 2x a year at most.

Hey, I said I have a few drinks didn't I? How the hell am I supposed to be expected to accurately tell time at that point?

(In all actuality I think if everything goes well it's 20 mins from my house to ATL, 60 mins to board, ~3.5 hours in the air, skip baggage and straight to the shuttle which is about another 30 mins to the ski locker. Usually all said and done about 5.5 hours.

    And 2-3 bloody marys.

Nada. It's private property, technically 'closed' to public access. Definitely no snomos in this zone. But you can use them for the county roads and up Lynx & over to Gore passes, or go to Rabbit Ears East or N up Buff Pass, etc...

Bought a new place. 30 minutes either way to Targhee or the Vill, 7-8 minutes to the top of the pass.

Out the door fishscalin'. But "real" skiing and faux-local status is 1200 miles for 1200'. It's a clean ratio.

Used to be an hour drive. Now 1000 miles from the real stuff.
