Mounted up some new whips for me and my oldest kid. Wren 98s for me and Chapter 1.0 for him.
Side note - Why the fuck did Salomon make the heel pattern for the Warden 11 different from all the other Wardens/STH2s? Dicks.

Nordica Enforcers Tap?
Hi all, first time posting. Thanks to this thread I have been mounting my own skis for years. I getting ready to mount a brand new pair of Nordica Enforcers. Does anyone know if Nordica recommends tapping the holes?

If there are metal shavings tap. Or, on the top sheet it will tell you which bit to use. If it’s 4.1 it’s likely metal in which case tap. Or, tap anyway to prevent any kind of volcano action

Yep, two layers of metal in those. I was leaning towards tapping, just wasn’t sure if anyone knew for sure with Nordica. I’ve had a few skis with metal where the manufacturer specifically said not to tap. Thanks for the reply.

Anybody have 4 spare inserts? I either can't count (likely) or lost a few (also likely).

PSA: Mount your own fucking skis.
I have no prior 3D printing experience but I do work in engineering and have ordered parts before. I printed these myself with some guidance. I recently bought an Ender 3 V2 (relatively cheap filament printer at $280) and printed these out of PLA using mostly default settings in PrusaSlicer. I'm super happy with how they came out. As far as printer requirements I'd look to rfconroy, he told me what printer to buy haha.

Mounted some line vision 108s yesterday. When we were drilling holes there was very clearly a metal layer with metal shavings. Surprised me since I didn't think there was any metal in these skis, did some reading and I didn't see anything about metal in the core. What was this? Is there metal? Should I have used a 4.1 bit? The screws went in nicely with a 3.6 bit.

The topsheet says 3.6.
Do they have a binding plate, or is it just" something i n the aramid, carbon, and fiberglass combo that resembles metal? That is, one should think that the translucent top sheet would indicate a metal binding plate right away

They may have a plate. I don't think it was a something mixed in. It took a little while to drill through and there were metal shavings and we could see the layer in the hole that was drilled. If it is a mounting plate, I'm glad they did it, the rest of the core was very soft
