I had to buy cold medication at Target and they had an employee scan my ID in the self checkout line. I told her it seemed like a dumb policy to have me (obviously sick) hand her my ID but whatever.
Agreed and in that case I would wait as well. I always assume they scanned my ID when bought in CO but maybe not.

In Mass. nobody at the state level wants to be the guy who's the last signature on the document that lets the first store open. Once they get one open it will go pretty fast I think.

yup there have been a number of instances where we voted for something, but he knew better than the rest of us and delayed its implementation. The state legislature deserves blame too as they can't get their act together.
edit so I had to look up what the status was of the law change voters had approved in November 2016. "The state set an April 30, 2019, deadline for a consultant to develop rules required to begin adult-use cannabis sales" How the legislature responds to those rules and how long it takes to actually go in effect I have no idea. Perhaps quicker than I guess with neighboring Canada, Massachusetts and Vermont seeing economic benefit.Last edited by cat in january; 10-11-2018 at 12:46 PM.

If your in a legal state where you can grow your own, that is the way I would do it. Our girls are in their first week of flower growth now. Last grow yielded about a pound of great bud from 6 plants.
In CA, the shops don't give you a break on the taxes paid even if you bring a medical card in, so again, just grow your own IMO. Vaping flower is nice and muffins for insomnia FTW.

Doesn't the shop have to be a multi use med/retail, or med only to give tax breaks? That's how I understood it. I thought there were different license designations?

I kinda like it. "Grow your own fucking weed"
We're about to have so much weed in this state it's going to change the market and economics.

Right, there are legit reasons why GYO doesn't work for everyone.

I am that stubborn guy who wants to buy it legally in a store. I know, that's a quaint idea.

Someone clue me in on why high % CBD tinctures cost extra. The lovely budtender where I went last Friday in Boulder ad no answer why the 90/10 mix was 2x as much as the 50/50.

Yeah, I want to buy edibles that are dialed in. I'd grow my own for flower, but I'm not into the process of making edibles. It would be easier for me to just buy it.
The shops are making money, but its the taxes that are killing everyone. Big risk opening up a shop. Any day the hammer could come down.

Conversely you can grow and possess in DC, but you cannot buy (directly.)
