Dang, no one told me about this ahead of time! I had to read about afterwards.
Cannabis farmer holds giveaway in protest of 'big pot'
However it does make some interesting points about the commercial aspects of growing weed in NM, and probably other states.

It’s the same issue in every state that legalizes. Officials overestimate demand, grant too many producers licenses, prices tumble, growers lose their ass.
The pattern follows the Gartner Hype Cycle, only with a legal trigger rather than technological.

Been enlightening to watch as the commercial market here becomes for mature and lots of smaller ops are bought out and consolidated and prices fall.
$ 15.00 an 1/8th including tax seems to be the benchmark.I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

Pulling for North Dakota, South Dakota and Florida to go rec legal today. If so, over half of the USA will now have legal weed.

Federal legalization would be a groundbreaker.
I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

Oh Florida, you guys make all the dumb decisions.

Crazy Floriduh part, they actually had the majority votes for legalization. But in 2006 legislation was passed saying 60% majority needed to approve any amendments.

North Dakota is not weed friendly. 52.5% voted no.

And South Dakota voters also don’t want the state smelling fantastic. Their loss.

Is America Switching from Booze to Weed?
Like a lot of things apparently the answer depends on which America. The past is a foreign country; they do things differently there.

Mixed results from last nights harvest:
space:3x5' tent
Lights: mars hydro tsl2000 x 2 (total 600w)
Mills nutes A+B only plus cal mag and SLF-100 high frequency fertigation 5x day
mephisto genetics autos Alien vs Triangle, Old School Mango Haze, and Deez Nugs L to R
The old school mango haze matured really quickly (60 days) but the other two were still bulking up so the decision was made to wait until AVT and DN were further along.
During the ensuing 3 weeks, OSMH didn't get any bigger but turned all sorts of fall colors. Also, the scent turned form diesel to something like cloves, asphalt , and pinesol.
Also during this time, the other two plants got huge.
this was one of the bigger colas but they were all in the neighborhood
While we were congratulating ourselves on the size of the buds, we unfortunately noticed that the biggest deez nugs colas were moldy and those were binned.
there were a lot of mid and lower buds that were untouched so we still got a decent yield from her.
what we did get was sticky though

I mentioned a few pages back that a farmer was growing Hemp about a mile away.
I have found a lot on undeveloped seeds in one of my plants flowers and one of the many grow ops nearby was completely fucked by pollination from the same source.I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

We used to grow outdoors exclusively until the ag school started a hemp test plot. That's what forced us to start growing indoors.
