Where do you all get seeds from? I’m taking a crack at growing I decided. Is Royal Queen ok? Any better mag sources? Any general recommendations? I want to do this totally organically.

A few years ago my friend brought me some RQ fem seeds from Amsterdam
    Not one germinated
    Hard to get a refund
Personally I find seeds to be time consuming and you need extra space to weed out weak plants
I prefer clones and cloning the clones

I get my clones from a friends shop. I have seen clones for sale here legally but at $20-25 apiece which isn't bad. Seeds are a hassle, but I have also seen them for sale.
I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

Inside, I use seeds from Mephisto genetics. They are all auto flowers. seeds are a pain but they don't bring in pests like clones can.

    To clarify,
My friend brought me the seeds because my attention to details i.e. cloning and bean popping skills have always been consistent.

Berko: I'm sure clones from a buddy could be an issue , but from a reliable store? The ones I got from the dispenso were treated

I grew from seed for years. Decades actually. I'm convinced even the top breeder's strains are not as stable as advertised. Feels like a phenotype lottery.

Last few cycles were from clones sourced through established local breeders and have been the best grow's I've ever produced. I have literally hundred's of dollars worth of seeds accumulated that I likely will never use.

To be fair, the probability of getting an infestation is likely low. Im sure if we had a store in town that had healthy and vigorous cuts, we would likely use them.

Oh interesting, I didn't even know the dispensaries might hook you up with clones. That would be my ideal. I'll ask at my local shop, I'm a good customer lol.

Where I am in the Toronto area we have a few really solid (but black market) online clone vendors. Since I grow a single plant at a time I'm not too worried about pests (if I have to scrap a grow it's not the end of the world), and hasn't been an issue so far.

As it turned out my pH meter had been going bad. My water comes out of the tap at 7,6-7,9, so I need a fair amount of pHDown to get to 6.0.

Kept wondering why it took more and more chemical to get in range. Finally, about the same time the meter would no longer calibrate, my girls went from this

Got a new meter and feed pH read 3.8

Flushed the crap of them. The one on the right seems to have recovered but the one on the left is pretty much gone.

Moral of story - if your measurement instruments seem off, they probably are…

    Ouch. Painful to see.
What do you mean by " a fair amount "of down?
I adjust my water from like an 8 or an 8.2 to 5.8 or 6 with about
    1ml/gal of pH down.
My flowers seem to be happening now

    Fair Amount depends on concentration
Using Mad Farmer Get Down I was using a tablespoon for five gallons of feed.
    Then it became two
    Then three

It’s about 1 drop from an eye dropper per gallon

I’ve replaced several broken zipper pulls by forcing a loop of parachute cord, knotted at one end, into the slot where the pull goes.

I like to use a key ring as a pull replacement.
