Yeah, there was a big deal with a certain brand of feed recently here and in Cali. Caused all sorts of liver damage. Major growers were using it.

I bet Bobby Stainless knows the rest.

Once the vote is all finalized, for someone completely new to growing...

How difficult is it to maintain 6 plants?
Will six plants provide enough weed for a recreational user?
How difficult is it to get seeds for really good weed in CO?
What kind of cost is there associated with growing and maintaining 6 plants?
How much space would one need? If you live in an apartment, can you just grow it next to the window? Does it stink while it is growing?

With the federal law issues, one would think it would be best to pick up supplies for growing rather then having them mailed to you...duh! It also seems that it may be easier to just buy it, but as mentioned above...seems like there are going to be a TON of issues with that. Thx

EDIT: I guess I can do some online research and get all these answers...sorry. Also, I bet once this all pans out, AeroGarden will sell a crap load of units...plus I think they are in Boulder...haha

    This is quick, not an end-all to your questions but;

6 plants would be easy. You have to watch them, work on em every day, but they only need water every few days.
6 plants would be plenty of weed. But, it depends on how much to toke. A heavy smoker can go through an ounce in less than two weeks, but most people aren't that ridiculous with it. It also depends on if you want to convert your trimmings and small nugs into hash which would make you yield go further.
Seeds shouldn't be hard to find, especially in CO. Ask your friends with a card. Honestly if its your first grow, going from clones would be easier and they're guaranteed to be female. and bomb.
Your costs are gonna be the initial purchase of lights, a grow tent, fertilizers, soil, clones, fans, etc. Then you gotta pay your electricity which will spike dramatically (possibly $100/month).. That is, unless you grow outside which you can only do in the summer.
It doesn't smell till it really starts flowering, but at that point it REEKS. I like the smell though. I'm not sure exactly how much room you'd need but for 6 plants you might need a little more than a small closet, probably a walk-in.

I don't think the feds mess around with small time recreational growers, but even if they did, the easiest place to buy is your local hydroponics store.

    Hello Monsanto.

This is one reason I voted no when it was on the ballot in California. It is basically legal here, 100 dollar fine that no cop writes anyway. I have a lot of friends that grow and the entire economy of northern California would be shut down.

The plot you quoted shows concentrations dropping to under 5 ng/mL (the legal limit set by the new law) at 2 hours.

i.e. for most people, 2-3 hours after is long enough to not get a DUI.

edit: Here is the original article from the Journal of Analytical Toxicology which produced the data points that were reproduced in the plot I posted, which you quoted.

Pretty sure both laws have regulations stating that licensed growers and sellers must submit their product for testing, just like alcohol currently. This should help make sure dangerous pesticides etc. aren't used.

I just don't see DUI's going up relative to the fear mongering going on about it. I smoked a j the night before so now my driving sucks in the morning enough to get pulled over? I know cops are prone to abuse probable cause but if I'm not breaking the law speeding or driving recklessly then why should I all of the sudden be concerned about 5ng/mL limits?

If I get in an accident and I'm suspected of being impaired, the 5ng/mL may snag some people.

does this mean the dispensaries in CO and OR will be open to anyone in 2013?
will there now be dispensaries in WA?

    .
Dispensaries in CO will NOT be open to the public because Medical laws have not changed. Prices will go down.

You will need a permit etc, to have any sort of weed business in CO, and that will not happen until next Oct 2013. Personal use and law enforcement will change as soon as the votes are verified.

MOFO answered your trolling questions. Do some more research before you spew non-sensacial shit.

Have to agree with that logic. Plus the whole drawing blood thing will be its own worst enemy....there is a reason it is not used currently except in isolated occasions (death or serious accident?) - can't see it being too feasible to take blood from too many people and I could see the bar set pretty high for using it.

Quality of product was never the problem - my personal issue was always where it came from. Something created in local enviro has totally different vibe I have come to notice since this summers travels.
The E o Miss iss ippi prob is finding and keeping a consistent source. My hopes with these hudge political steps being taken is that this country can finally de stigmatize something that is such a plus to so many people. Person should feel no different with johnny walker black on rocks or 1/8th of your fav bud.

    1. It's easy to grow 6 plants.
    2. I can get just under 2 pounds off of 6 plants. I know guys that can get 2 pounds per plant though.
    3. seedbay.com and seedboutique.com
    4. Depends on how high tech you want to go. Plasma lights are 1500 each.
    5. Get a 4x4 tent or a 4x8 tent. Craigslist is a great place to buy grow equipment.
    6. Yes it smells.
    7. You have to replicate a night/day cycle to flower weed, so you can not grow it by a window, and expect any kind of results.

Prob my fault more - all my bellyaching about poor access helped shape bfberg's view - just tough for me here....never have a problem if I wanna drive to beantown. I blame the sawx for sucking so bad that I never want to go there. And Boston has some kickass weed.

TC - you are right about VT - If I could live in two spots it would be Nov to April in underhill center and rest of year on hood river somewhere close to couple volcanos

Washington weed will be grown in Washington by Washingtonians.

At least that's what the law says will happen. I am doing my best to make sure that wagon has a seat for me.
