Key West Bound- Paging Hook????
You still around buddy?
Prolly won't be fishing, but will have lots of time for drinks.
Going to our wedding planner's wedding at the Ocean Key. Basically- I will be a guest at my own wedding. Can't wait.
Hope you are still around.

Good timing, I haven't been on here in quite a while but my thought's are shifting to snow so I decided to drop in.
If you're staying at the Ocean Key house, I can pick you up from their dock.
If this wind lays down we can run out to the flats west of there. The menu will be a main course of pitching crab flies to Permit followed by shark flies to Blacktips and lemons when the tide changes.
How you get a pass from your wife is all you.
If the wind doesn't lay down we can kill some Mojito's,
I'll pm my new cell.

FKNA. That sounds awesome. Heading to Ft. Myers Beach Monday if any other fla mags happen to stroll thru.
Something about the wrinkle in your forehead tells me there's a fit about to get thrown
And I never hear a single word you say when you tell me not to have my fun
It's the same old shit that I ain't gonna take off anyone.
and I never had a shortage of people tryin' to warn me about the dangers I pose to myself.

Got an am pass. Can't really be out all day. Not one of those trips.
Got the cell #. I'll give you a ring when we get in on Wed. afternoon.
Should I bring my 9 wt or a spinning setup?
Let me know what morning looks best. I am pretty free thurs. and fri. Sat and sunday are toast.
Friday will prolly work best, with T-giving and all.
Thanks for the offer.

Bring your 9, I have the bigger guns and flies.
I generally don't bring spinners on the flats out of principal but we have this headed our way. www.wunderground.com/MAR/GM/054.html
You need to be pretty steezy to cast in 20 knot winds so bring the spinner as well.
I have obligations on Thurs but maybe we can sneak out in the morning.
That cold front is only going to drop the air temps down to 79 so that won't be an issue. The thing that could derail our train is the wind stirring up the flats and putting a hurt on the visibility.
I also have a 25 Whitewater so we may be able to go with the offshore option.
Hey Tye and Schwerty, all you have to do is get on a plane.

Got Hook'd up Thursday am. Thanks for the great time mang. "Caught" a 4ish ft Lemon Shark. Took a good long while getting him to the boat with my backcountry rig. 7-14 Redbone with a Stradic 4000 on 20 lb power pro. Pretty good test of the light tackle. Pics to follow. Can't seem to get them linked on my pad.
Thanks again Hook. Hope to do it again real soon.

Here are some pics from the trip. Thanks again Hook. Might be back down in Feb.
My AKPM pose with the hudge pinfish I caught on the fly.
Hook- the man the myth-
Shark!!!
Tarpon on Islamorada-
7 Mile bridge-
Nice view from our room-
Hell of a weekend. Glad I went out with Hook when I did, since the rest of the weekend was a drunken blur of debauchery, as usual. 5 days without kids will do wonders. I highly recommend it.

5 days without my kid would get me some real serious hangovers!
Hook- I just might take you up on a couple days on the water if youre around in may.
Looks fun! Sharks scare me.

I was pretty damaged when I met Hook. I just can't party like that anymore. We tried though.
