    FS Feeler: 11/12 K2 Sidestash 181cm NIP

Looking to deal these skis. Warrantied last years pair and got a brand new 11/12. Don't know if I'm going to like this new rocker profile as this is my main touring ski.

Would like to get enough dough to buy another pair of new skis.

Offers please. Would prefer a local pickup. Tahoe area.

Would trade for 184 Praxis Freeride or 180 Praxis Backcountry.

Why did you get last year's skis warrantied? Unrelated, but I'm curious.

yes, also curious about the warranty, as a buddy has some issues with his (rocker has been way over profiled)

I toured pretty extensively on the 11/12 version last year and they were fine. What are you worried about specifically?

I really liked last years ski and I skied it in a lot of bad (firm) snow conditions. I want a ski that will be solid in steep, technical lines with variable snow conditions. I could size down but I live in Tahoe so dont wanna go to small as it will be my primary bc ski. I was concerned that the more generous rocker would make it harder to drive the ski and hold an edge an steeper terrain.

I'm not very ski tech savvy so feel free to school me. I liked last years ski because of it's versatility and it seems its a tad more one dimensional now. I've not skied it tho so can't be certain.

I don't remember the old version well because I never skied the production ones and last skied a prototype in 07, but the new one is pretty ideal for what you're looking for. I'm going to guess the older version would be marginally better for pure hard snow since it has less rocker and this year's version would be marginally better for softer snow. You certainly wouldn't want to go down a size if you wanted better hard snow performance that's for sure. You won't be able to drive the tips into hardpack like a normal cambered ski but that's true for any rockered ski. I used this ski in the spring and skied a fair amount of pre-thawed corn. No problems. Easy, nimble, and non-catchy.

The first half of this video is me skiing the 11/12 w/ NTN in Albania and Kosovo. The lines in Kosovo (starts at 2:30) were steep, techy and generally about 6" of super light cold smoke on top of a very firm base. In the 2nd line you can see how shallow it was when I'm crossing my tracks from my recon run down that face.
