    Primus

I enjoy Les. The Polish people chanting Pri-moos Sucks! is priceless.

Saw them this past October when they played The Greek Theatre in Berkeley.a
They played Rush's A Farewell To Kings from start to finish.

If it's the same show and you dig Rush and Primus, it's worth the price of admission.

They are swinging through Reno later this summer and I am considering seeing them again...

This is the show to go to, though:

Saw them here in the fall. Rush was cool for a bit, just didn’t need the whole thing. But the rest of their set had so much lesser played songs included that it was pretty rad. I have seen Les/Primus a lot so appreciated he variety.

In a previous career life, I interviewed Les on more than one occasion...

    Very nice.
Growing up in he east bay in the 80’s & 90’s, I have long been following Les and all his iterations. It’s been a fun ride and happy they are still at it strong. The last couple times seeing them on the Kings tour and Slayer finale were some great freaking sets. Dipping into the years past.

I am super bummed I missed their last go around of that.
I also missed his Duo De Twang tour.

I did see them perform with The Residents once and I caught Colonel Claypool's Bucket of Bernie Brains, though...

Going Friday. Found 2 seats in the 6th row stage center behind the pit for under face on stubhub. Not sold out here at a small outdoor venue which is typical here for anything decent.

Kinda stoked. A little outside my musical comfort zone but I was mesmerized by Claypool Lennon Delirium when we streamed that from 420 a couple years ago so fuck it. Show is a bike ride away, must go.

They moved the show indoors because of heavy weather earlier in the day. It was a major downer to walk inside in perfect 60 degree weather under a clear sky and light winds...exactly what was predicted for showtime. The show lost some kick for me because of the major venue downgrade.

The crowd was great. Super mellow. Music lovers. A lot of Primus fans, a lot of people like us that were there for the musical buzz. We met all of our neighbors, all cool, felt like church.

    They went Primus--->Rush--->Primus.

The Rush set was great at first, they started losing me after a while, but then they jumped back out of it for the encore and reeled me back in.

Stole set 1 list pic from Primus page. Conspiranoia was a highlight. Felt like a 15 minute jam.

Glad we went. Started at 8, finished at 10:30 so we mellow walked the hour ish home through absolutely perfect weather instead of an uber.
