As I sit here and type on my mac mini at work, iphone in my pocket and a pile of old macs in my garage I feel his loss.
I have had mac Se's in black and white, cubes, macbooks, powerpacs and g4 towers of all kinds. Never thought much about it except how easy they all were to use, how a non-skilled punter could retouch photos, create spreadsheets, listen to music, edit movies and on and on.
He will be missed and remembered as one of the great minds of the electronic age.

The devil never dies.
Living in such plain sight.
Apple was his offer
and we all took a bite....And the greatest ice must crumble when it's flower's time to grow.

Here's to the Crazy Ones.
The misfits.
The rebels.
The trouble-makers.
The round pegs in the square holes.
The one who see things differently.
They're not fond of rules, and they have no respect for the status quo.
You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify, or vilify them.
About the only thingy you can't do is ignore them.
Because they change things.
They push the human race forwards.
And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius.
Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world - are the ones who do.
Thanks

He was a modern day titan of industry. He'll be in the history books along side Carnegie and J.P. Morgan. R.I.P.

Apple has lost it's seed.
Wozniak might have indeed been the electronics geek/engineering genius behind the fist few Apple products, but Jobs was the visionary marketing an design genius who made it all work.
I've never really been a MacHead, but I've always truly respected their classic design strategy, from the Mac all the way to the Air.
Steve Jobs proved that Form doesn't have to follow Function, but can run in tandem with it.
He's probably going to try and sell Buddha an iPad."The reason death sticks so closely to life isn't biological necessity - it's envy. Life is so beautiful that death has fallen in love with it; a jealous, possesive love that grabs at what it can." by Yann Martel from Life of Pi
