Didn't catch the TS effect first, but you're right, it is pretty sweet. Doesn't matter if it's gimmicky -- if it's interesting to the viewer, it works. When I look at a photograph, I don't judge how good it is based on how it was created; if I like it, it's good to me.

LOL! It is around here most years at higher elevations where the Larches grow. Check this set from 3 years ago, taken at the same time of year. Wish I could've entered some of these.

Yes, it is. Nice catch. I think this might be the single most famous fall tree in the whole world (for good reason). From the Portland's Japanese botanical garden, no? Lucky, it's in your back yard. I hope to see it with my own eyes one day.
