FS: Marmot Alpinist Jacket - Medium - $125 OBO

    SOLD

    Marmot Alpinist jacket
    Size Medium
    Used - Great condition
All of the standard features one would expect
    $125 OBO

I bought the jacket new in February of this year, skied in it until May, and occasionally used it in the rain over the summer. It was a little large when I got it, but not too bad. After loosing some weight over the summer it fits a bit baggier than I'd like (5'11" 150#). It's a fantastic jacket, and I hate to sell it, but I need something that fits better.

Is the price too high, or is there just a lack of interest?

Retail is $550, figure most guys on here buy clothing new for 50% off retail so street price new is $275 or so, then knock off 50% of that for being used and you'd probably move it pretty fast. You could try ebay and have a better chance of getting more, but then you'd lose 12% to ebay and have to hassle with creating a listing.

Thanks for that folks. Price dropped.

Sfotex, I've already got another jacket lined up, but thanks.

bl2000, that sounds good. I'd prefer to deal local, and I haven't heard from Yeah yet anyway. Shoot me a PM if you're still interested.

Fwiw...I have a very lightly used ~05' (~dozen days winter hiking, no skiing) "Small" Patagonia Cold Smoke SS... = too small for me...where Marmot's "M" is just right. Bought on a balmy day in late-April = with ss shirt on. Color= Burnt Orange.

    Thank YOU OTL.

Ethomassingleposter: I'm assuming you're color blind.
