Damn my 310 BSL
I need to go to Utah.
Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?
So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....
Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

link doesnt work but i assume you were talking about these worth mentioning that they are the not the Early Trams(nx21). They are the Dynastar version of the nx01. nx21's have a metal spring cap in the toe/heel.

In any case, if you're ever really in this situation make sure you at least bargain in a couple of fluffers.

Remember, you can cut the rails down for smaller BSL... Ask mntlion. With his tutelage, I was easily able to modify larges to work for my mom's 285 BSL.

Well I'm 6 feet tall and about 150. Skiing 184 surface new life's
Too much weight for them? Also, do you mean flexy when the heel isnt fixed or when it is?
thanks.

They'll probably work for you Fritz. I found both Naxos and Fritschis to be too flexible on a wider ski on firm/hard snow. Especially on boilerplate. They're fine when hiking, it was the skiing performance that bugged me. On hard snow it felt like I had to generate a lot of lower leg angle before the ski started to come up on edge. I'm 5'10" and 200lbs.

Bump. Price is up to $105 shipped but this is by far the best deal going on AT bindings.
SO, they should work pretty well for a 100ish lb person who skis with finesse and will probably only use them 5 times a year on soft snow? They can be shortened enough to fit a 260-270mm bootsole?
There's sooo much bad reports on the naxo's out there, just don't want to recommend a binding and have it break out in the woods.......but it's the only thing fitting in the budget for a cheap AT setup.

I'm 5'8", 150 lbs, ski aggressive, huck cliffs, and they are a good enough binding. def need some getting used to, adjust the dins a bit, i had to crank mine up to like a 7 to keep em on my feet. light binding though, touring on the way up is great, easy to adjust, quick to lock in, i trust the lock system. a lot of flex though, still a fun binding for powder (who tours when it's icy out anyways!) for 95$, i would go for it and have a touring only ski. dont use on ice or wicked hardpack...dangerous...

Naxos require AT boot soles, right? Couldn't use these with alpine boots?

Hmmm. Might have to consider picking up a few and cutting them down for the wife and boys. (The girl has tele gear, so less useful.)

Dad: easy to do, just remove the rails, cut down a bit, drill new hole for stopper screw, and re-install. I would recommend cutting a L to a S so that you can still use the mounting jig. small fits 265mm I think?

Cool. There isn't by any chance a marking on the large rails to show what the small would be?

nope, just have to see what BSL the large vs the small, and cut off that much
60mm sounds right, but please check before you cut, and check twice before you drill the ski
